ORIGINAL POST

Dr Baldwin Tummy Tuck

I am now 1 week out from having my surgery and I have all fingers and toes crossed that it will happen in this volitile situation that Victoria finds us in. I have waited 11 years to have my tummy fixed. and I hope that it can happen while I have the leave available. Also, I’m scared going into work each day as a frontline nurse worker while this pandemic runs rampet through the health system.

I hope that your surgery goes well in the midst of a pandemic. I,too, have a surgery planned but had to reschedule due to the covid virus. It's for our best interests. Good luck. Post some post op pictures.

8 weeks post abdominoplasty and midline hernia repair

kimctj
I can’t believe it’s been 8 weeks since my surgery. I was originally booked for August but the pandemic and subsequent lockdown put a stop to that! So I patiently waited until mid October when the hospitals were allowed to perform surgeries again.
It was the most exciting day to be walking into the hospital, knowing that I would walk out a new and improved me!! Dr. Mark Baldwin can only be described as AMAZING!!! From the first consultation, he has been kind, attentive, and very clear on expectations, risks and outcomes for this surgery. He has always been happy to answer any and all questions honestly.
I went into this after doing lots of research and after meeting Mark, I knew he was the “chosen one” for me. My surgery went very well. Besides the initial tenderness, tightness and swelling Post op, I felt great! I was up and about walking the corridors of the hospital the first night after my Op. I had hired a recliner chair to sleep in for when I went home which was the best decision because you can’t sleep flat on your back for a few weeks. I had stocked up in unsweetened pineapple juice aswell as high protein foods which was to enhance healing and I think everything I have done has contributed to this fabulous result. My scars have healed beautifully, however I am still dealing with a tiny area at the midline which opened when the sutures came out at week 2 Post op. This tiny area is almost healed though and I couldn’t be happier. My tummy is no longer draped with sagging skin and the muscle repair has made me so comfortable. No more weird unpredictable bulges that prevented me from wearing the fitted tops I liked to wear. Dr Mark Baldwin has changed my life for the better in so many ways. I will be forever grateful for the Beautiful work he has done on me. As a registered nurse and as a patient, I highly recommend Mark to anyone who is wanting to feel comfortable in their own skin again. I will post photos after my next dressing change in a couple of days.

Hi everyone! As promised, I am posting the photos I took at the last dressing change. As you can see, there is a tiny area at the midline that still has to heal but overall, my tummy is now Beautiful! I’m thrilled with the result. Mark Baldwin is a Magician! See the comparison to my Pre Op photos! I also have to mention, the reception Girls and Nurses who work with Mark are always so lovely, caring and supportive. Especially Aliesha, who is so gorgeous inside and out. She has always been patient while listening to my concerns and provided advice and reassurance that has always put me at ease. Together, they all make an Amazing Team. I couldn’t be any more satisfied with this whole journey.
