Less than two weeks until my breast...
WORTH IT$8,201
Less than two weeks until my breast lift/augmentation and I thought I should probably document my journey somewhere and where better than on RS!?
My stats again...5'7", 134 lbs, athlete/gym junkie (just dropped 15 lbs), size 6, pre-op breast measurement is probably 34B or 34A?, breastfed 2 kids each for a year (now 5 & 7 years old), getting a breast lift (just the left side), Sientra round textured "gummy bear" implants in both, planning to go with 385cc but Dr bringing in 350cc as well just in case there isn't enough room or the if the larger implant would cause too much tension on incisions, going submuscular through inframammary fold, BWD 12.5 or 13cm. Hoping too look more "natural" and better proportioned since I have wider hips (at least in my own head).
So yes you read that correctly, I only need a breast lift on ONE side (my left). It's always been different then my right...about the same size but the breast tissue has always felt looser than the right even before nursing two kids (now 5 & 7). I was hoping for just a periareolar lift but after seeing the Docs pics at my sizing consult, I agree that the lollipop lift will be best for me. I am dreading the vertical scar but know logically the trade off will be worth it. Here's hoping that the new scar remedies available actually work!
My husband is SUPER supportive! His only worry is that he doesn't want me to go "too big". We both agree on the more natural/proportioned look for me. My surgery is on Jan 26 and I plan on taking off until Feb 6 for a nice long recovery. Oddly enough, one of my sisters is having ankle surgery on Jan 25 and is planning to recover for a week at my house. It should be pretty amusing watching the two of us fumble around that first week! My hubby plans on taking a few days off to help the both of us too. Love him!!
Pre-op tomorrow for blood work, pregnancy test, and EKG. Still trying to figure out if I'll be telling my family/friends first or just wait until someone actually asks and then tell them. I'm leaning towards the latter but I'm terrible at keeping "secrets". Either way, I'm at the stage in my life where I really don't give a damn if someone disapproves or is judgmental -- took me awhile to get there but YEAH for me! LOL!

excited for you! I decided that I didn't care what everyone thought, and I'm not keeping it a secret. I'm with you -- if people want to judge me, too bad, that's their problem.
Looking forward to following your journey!

Thanks! Sounds like you've had quite a journey already yourself! Yours look awesome BTW! I hope your healing and scar therapy continue to progress. It's amazing how different everyone heals and how different pain experiences are. There are so many emotions with this whole process, decisions, and outcomes it's hard to wrap my mind around it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the easiest of everything, LOL!

Good luck with everything! I had a lollipop lift on one side as well and I'm a month out and my scar looks great! It's definitely worth it!

I replied on your page. I'd love to see what your scar looks like. Never thought I'd write something like that to a girl!! LOL!

Good luck in surgery!! Hope it goes well

One week to go! Wish boobs!
Thought I'd post some of my wish boob photos. I can't stop thinking about the day and life afterwards! I'm praying that my recovery goes smoothly (and easily!) because there are A LOT of scary stories on here!! I'm pretty sure that my new boobs won't be close together just by the way they look now but I'd love to look like any of these ladies!

OMG i bet you're so excited/nervous!! I"m scheduled for Feb 1st.. going with the lollipop lift too.. Hoping that will be enough.. 5'8, 155, 48 years old, full b/small C cup. We've picked between 339/371 under the muscle smooth round. So nerve wracking picking out the size.. i really just want a Full C.. I'm super athletic too and don't want to look top heavy or fat after all i do to stay lean and fit.. lol.. I think sometimes less is more.. and i think it's important to go for shape over size..

You must be psyched too! Feb 1st is right around the corner! I wasn't able to find your "story" on the site so hope you post on if you haven't already. I'd love to follow along with your journey too! :) Picking the right size is so nerve-racking. Initially I was totally gonna stick with the smallest in the range that my PS gave me (350cc-450cc)) for my BWD (12.5-13cm). But then I started to think that if I'm having this done, spending all that money, and going under the muscle maybe I should go up to 385cc cuz it's really not THAT much more. I definitely don't want to look top heavy or fat either and I totally agree that shape over size is the way to go. Hopefully if I show the PS the wish photos right before the surgery, he can make the judgement call. I'd rather heal nicely and with as little trauma as possible.

Hey wonderboob!! I am getting so excited !! I'm gonna do my review this weekend. Just trying to get some pics together :) I think when it comes down to the final decision the surgeon probably will make the best choice for me :) I still want to stick with 339/371. I want shape over size. I do t want to compromise the lift by going too big. I'll have to check out your blog.

Next Thurs!!! Yikes! I can't wait!! My hubby and I decided on "if someone asks then tell, otherwise don't say anything".
January 21, 2017
I can't wait to see what CC's your surgeon decides on!! You look a little smaller than me to begin with.. I need to print some wish boobs too to show him before the surgery... I've put a review on here but just waiting for it to be approved.. Have you bought all your surgery stuff?? I"m going out today to pick up some bromelain and arnica for healing and swelling. I hear that works great!!

January 21, 2017
I've picked up my Rxs. We have to be extra vigilant about avoiding infections cuz I've had two MRSA infections (not for 7 yrs though) and my husband has had at least 9 with his most recent last month. So, I have to do a nasal antibiotic for 5 days before and 2 weeks after surgery. They will have me on vancomycin IV during the surgery as well as soaking the implant in a vancomycin solution. Then I'm on Bactim for 5 days. Ugh! Better safe then sorry! Oh yeah, plus the standard hibiclens soap wash three days before surgery.
I asked the PS about any of the arnica/bromelain and even icing but he said it wasn't necessary. I think I'm going to call and ask again cuz I've read it everywhere on this site. I can't imagine that they'd be harmful in any way either. I picked up two larger sized seamless bras that I'm praying will work! Couldn't find any front opening ones though. Luckily I think we have pretty much everything else at home. I'm borrowing a wedge pillow from some friends too.

January 21, 2017
Oh thanks for the reminder about the wedge pillow. And I JUST left target. They didn't have any front closure bras so I'm headed to Walmart. Gonna pick up my scripts today too! Can't wait for your results !!
January 21, 2017
Funny how we're both trying to decide on the same sizes!! Same CC's just different brand of implants I'm assuming so they are a little different. I'm glad you're going first so i can see what you look like before i have to make my final decision :) If you end up with the smaller size and love them then I'll probably end up picking the 371's since you're starting just a tad smaller than me!!

January 22, 2017
I was just thinking the same thing about the sizes. Wish you were going first though! LOL!! I think I'll be happy with either size as long as I heal nicely. Since we decided to visit with my parents this weekend I didn't get to the gym and I'm already going stir crazy. Two weeks off and I think I might go nuts. Feel free to roll your eyes, I know I'm already nuts!

I had a girl personal message me and told me that i should def err on the smaller size. Too big and it can make you look matronly and fat.. Def don't want that to happen!! She said if you don't wear tighter shirts to show that you're not big that you can actually look 15 lbs bigger. She said that she had them done years ago and wished they were smaller.. I'm totally on board with that.. for sure.. my niece had hers done.. she's 5'7 160 and she had 300 cc and looks great! Not too big not too small.. she also just had an augmentation though.. no lift.. something to think about..

January 22, 2017
Totally agree with that! I have two friends that are both a full D - one naturally and one through BA. They look completely different though just because of their body types, heights, and what they wear. I hate the look of shelf boobs in shirts and I agree that it looks like extra weight instead. I really just want to look like one of my wish pics!! Hopefully the PS can get it right!!
I'll try the website on the computer when I'm back home. Thanks for the tip!

Before pics. So excited!! 5 more days!!
Had a few minutes to myself while visiting my parents with my family...well, actually hiding in the bathroom from my kids! Took a few before pics in their blindingly lit teeny tiny bathroom while banging my head and elbows on the sloped ceiling. Ouch! Anyway, here's what I've been working with all these years. Can't wait to be able to actually fill out a bra and have SOME form of cleavage! Still debating between 350 and 385cc (Sientra round textured). I want to end up a full C or small D. Definitely not bigger since I workout a lot (kickboxing, weight lifting, yoga, spinning/road cycling, softball, HIIT, bootcamp) and don't want to be hindered by them or "get a black eye" as my well endowed friends would say.
Hey! Welcome, and thanks for sharing your story with us. IÂ hope you'll enjoy being a part of this amazing community. Are you feeling more excited or nervous at this point? Please let us know when you decide whether to tell your family and friends. IÂ hope they're all supportive of your decision! Good luck, and please continue to update us :)
