I am having my upper & lower lids done. Dr. is going to cut a little farther out on the side of my eyes to tighten up the skin there. A little nervous, got my ice packs, moved the things I'll need up to eye level since the doctor said bruising occurs from bending down and picking things up. I should plan to just rest the first two or so days.

dont worry ive had a blepharoplasty done 2 weeks agoand its a very easy cosmetic procedure two weeks you will be almost recovered just wear dark glasses in the interim time to avert quizzical stares from strangers and keep your head elevated whilst sleeping i,e prop up the pillows

Thinking of you today. I'm planning to have this some time in 2015, so I'll be interested in how you recover!

Day of surgery

Judan13
Surgery took ab hour and a half then I woke up feeling well, no pain, just some numbness in my face and swollen eyes. Got home and used the ice packs and slept a lot. I had been very nervous about the surgery and it was a relief to have iit done.

Do you feel blurry right after the surgery (lower Blepharosplasty ) becos I do not have someone to accompany me home after surgery! Thank you!
March 1, 2015
I believe the blurriness is from the ointment in and around the eyes. Doesn't your PS require a "responsible adult" to be with you for 24 hours? Good luck.

Day two. Uggg

Judan13
Today was harder than the day of surgery. Swelling and red. I be washed my eyes, used the ointment, and used the ice packs. Things are a little blurry. I'm going to get a good nights sleep and see how things are tomorrow. No pain just discomfort.

Every day gets better. I slept in a recliner for the first 3 night and did the icing religiously every hour. It's all uphill from here!
