I am having my upper & lower lids done. Dr. is going to cut a little farther out on the side of my eyes to tighten up the skin there. A little nervous, got my ice packs, moved the things I'll need up to eye level since the doctor said bruising occurs from bending down and picking things up. I should plan to just rest the first two or so days.

Surgery took ab hour and a half then I woke up feeling well, no pain, just some numbness in my face and swollen eyes. Got home and used the ice packs and slept a lot. I had been very nervous about the surgery and it was a relief to have iit done.

Today was harder than the day of surgery. Swelling and red. I be washed my eyes, used the ointment, and used the ice packs. Things are a little blurry. I'm going to get a good nights sleep and see how things are tomorrow. No pain just discomfort.

Day 3 kept ice packs on every hour. Can't read anything so it's easier to rest. Dr called to check on me. I'm doing as expected. Taking my antibiotic, washing eyes, using antibiotic ointment . Now taking something for pain and looking forward to another good nights sleep.

Got outside, 25 degrees and it hit my lids like a blast of refreshment. Strange. I use eye drops to be on the safe side but haven't really had dry eyes at all. Less swelling. Less blurry vision. Been getting some really good sleep and a break from all the digital devices except for these updates.

Virtually no discomfort at all. I'm really glad I did this. I know tomorrow will not be pleasant getting the stitches out. I don't know if they will numb me but I'll share that tomorrow and hopefully some pics can be uploaded.

I expected some pain but there was none. The stitches easily came out, doctor told me to massage the lower lids in an upward motion using baby oil and to keep upright as much as possible to aid healing.

Just feeling a little tightness around my eyes. Everyday shows a distinct improvement and healing, I feel. I can't wait to check the difference everyday.
