Terrible Experience of Unprofessional, Lack of Ethnic
I had a cosmetic double eyelid procedure done with Dr. Kwan in October 2023, and my experience has been nothing short of disappointing. I paid $5,000, expecting a professional, detail-oriented approach, but instead, I received rushed consultations, poor communication, and unsatisfactory results.
Minimal Consultation & Rushed Process:
Dr. Kwan barely spent any time discussing my preferences. The first online consultation was only 10 minutes, and on the day of the procedure, he spent just 5 minutes taping my eyelid before operating, the entire process felt rushed.
Uneven & Unnatural Results:
Post-surgery, my eyelid shape was completely different from what we had discussed—too wide and unnatural. Even worse, my left and right eyelids were asymmetrical, each with a different shape.
Dismissive & Rushed Follow-Ups:
I raised my concerns multiple times—at 1 month, 6 months, and 1 year post-op. Every single time, Dr. Kwan spent less than a minute with me, dismissed my concerns, and rushed out of the room. His response was always, "They are still swollen, they will become smaller." Now, after 1.5 years, when I revisited him again, he changed his response, saying it was "too late" to raise concerns and that I would have to pay for another procedure to fix the issues.
Lack of Accountability & Unprofessionalism:
Rather than addressing his mistakes, Dr. Kwan refuses to take responsibility and only offers a fix if I pay more money. He is not detail-oriented, does not listen to patients, and rushes through every interaction. I deeply regret choosing him for this procedure and would never recommend him to anyone considering eyelid surgery.
Avoid Dr. Kwan if you care about quality, professionalism, and proper post-op care!
