Dr. Carson is a very talented, smart, and gentle surgeon!!
I originally had double eyelid with another doctor and after close to one year, my eyes were still soooo heavy due to his placement of a very high crease. At initial consult, I expressed to my previous doctor that I just wanted a low fold fix on my right eye to match my left bc it started dropping. Instead, he reprimanded my suggestion and said I need a high fold. I went with his recommendation since he is a doctor after all and did not complain during my after post follow ups. After 6 mos, the doctor offered revision first and I did not continue with his offer bc I was scared. His revision technique and the way he promised he can’t guarantee a good result scared me even more so afterwards I felt like no doctors could fix it.
I still decided to consult with Dr. Carson anyway to see what he can do since his reviews were all positive and he was known to operate to achieve “natural” looks. During consult, his team were all so sweet and he listened to my concerns. He said it was possible and would try to get close to my old eyes as much as can. He gave me his trust and at this point anything than the eyes that I had seemed better. I had a very hard time seeing after that first operation bc the previous doctor’s crease was so high my eyes were pushed down and closed half my pupils.
The day of surgery, it was so much different than the previous doctor! Even though I was sedated, I could feel a huge difference b/t the two doctors in operation. It did not hurt at all Vs. the previous doctor was very aggressive. I felt him pulling my skin so hard and more ..do not know how to describe …but it was not pleasant and he finished in like 30-45 min.
Even though it’s only been only day 1 after revision and I am quite swollen, it is way way less severe than my first experience at previous center.
Thankful for his skilled hands and great eye to help achieve patient’s concerns and also the rest of the team at radiance. :)
