Six Months Post-Surgery and Happy with the Outcome
I had double eyelid correction at Girin Clinic, and after nearly six months, I’m pleased with the results. The healing process has progressed well, and my eyelids now look more natural. The initial swelling has significantly reduced, and the small bump on my right eye has improved after following the clinic’s advice. Double eyelids correction
I heard about Girin Clinic from a friend of mine who is Korean and had visited Girin already. I wanted to get double eyelid correction, and after finding Girin’s contact number online, I reached out via WhatsApp. The consultation was good—they responded quickly and asked me to send pictures for review. After assessing my case, they told me what I needed to do, and I transferred a booking fee. One great thing about the clinic is that they offer free transportation from the airport, and my travel companions were allowed to join in the car as well.
Since my trip was during the Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving) period, I didn’t have much time and planned to stay for only a week. I went directly to the clinic from the airport. My first impression of the clinic was that it was quite full, and the reception area felt a bit small. I was greeted by my translator, Anastasia, who was ready to assist me. I had a consultation with Dr. Jeon, who explained that to achieve the best results, I should also consider an eyebrow lift and fat injections, which they would take from my abdomen.
I was nervous about the operation, but everyone at the clinic helped me feel more relaxed. They took pre-op photos, and in the operating room, there was music playing, and Anastasia stayed with me. I was sedated, so I didn’t feel anything during the surgery. At one point, Dr. Jeon woke me up and asked me to open and close my eyes. I also received Rejuran injections on my face. Suddenly, the operation was finished, and I was allowed to return to my hotel. I was given medication and an eye compress, along with a contact number to use if I had any questions.
The swelling in my eyes was at its peak on the second day, but it gradually decreased after that. On the fifth day, I returned to the clinic to have my stitches removed. By then, my eyes were much better—still swollen and bruised but showing significant improvement. My translator for this visit was Monica, who was very good. They took more photos of my progress, and I met Dr. Jeon again, who was happy with the results.
The next day, I flew home, and I was relieved that everything went smoothly during the flight. Since then, my eyes, eyelids, and eyebrows have been improving day by day. I started using makeup again after three weeks. The clinic has been very responsive to my questions, which has been reassuring, and they reply quickly.
Now, at four weeks post-op, my right eyelid is still slightly swollen (very minimally), and I can feel a bit of pulsing there. But aside from that, I’m really happy with the results. The Rejuran injections were fantastic—they’ve made my face glow and look healthier. I want to express my gratitude to Dr. Jeon, Anastasia, Monica, and the entire staff at Girin. I would definitely recommend the clinic to my friends and family, and I plan to return the next time I visit Korea.
