Non-incision Double Eyelid Surgery and Upper Canthoplasty
Hi all, I have been planning to have double eyelid surgery for a while and after extensive research and communication with several clinics I decided to choose Thank You Plastic Surgery. I made my decision due to the following reasons:
- Good communication and quick response time
- Accommodated my travel schedule
- Answered my questions in detail
I communicated online with Chloe who was extremely helpful and was able to help me to organise a consultation and surgery day on the same date during the busy peak period. She was knowledgeable on the process and was able to answer my questions. I am so grateful to have had Chloe help and support me throughout the entire process, she was so friendly and made me feel so comfortable both online and in-person.
Consultation -
I showed Dr. Kim my inspiration photos and he recommended that I undergo non-incisional double eyelid surgery and upper canthoplasty. Dr Kim was thorough with his explanation and gave me opportunities to discuss what I wanted to be done.
Once we had discussed how I wanted my eyes to look he used a special tool to show me 3 different crease heights and allowed me to make my decision. He also gave me the option to choose what type of crease I would like (in-line, in-outline, semi-outline and outline). I opted for in-outline as I wanted a more natural result. Once my decision was confirmed, he made markings on my eyes in preparation for surgery. Overall, Dr. Kim was amicable and made me feel comfortable during our brief discussion.
Surgery -
After our consultation, we completed some prep before I went into the surgery room. I was nervous but I had support from Chloe whilst inside to help me translate anything before surgery started. I was put under sedation and before I knew it Dr. Kim was asking me to open my eyes and I was escorted to the waiting room to recover. Once I was awake, I was given instructions for medications and aftercare. At this point, my eyes felt heavy, and it was difficult for me to open my eyes as they were quite swollen. After a few hours, I felt some discomfort as I think the painkillers were wearing off however once I took my medication that pain did not return for the duration of my healing.
Stitch removal -
I had requested to have my appointment early in the morning as I had a flight later that afternoon, Chloe was accommodating and helped me to secure an early appointment to align with my schedule. After 3 days, I went back into the clinic to have my stitches removed for my upper canthoplasty. The stitch removal was a little uncomfortable but extremely quick. Dr. Kim came in to see me and check up on my healing and reassured me that it was looking good.
Healing process -
I am currently one month post op and I think I have healed quite well! I have no scarring but I still have some swelling in the morning when I wake up. Also, it took about 2.5 weeks for all my bruising to disappear.
Overall, I am very satisfied with my results and my eyes have turned out the way I had hoped. I have received many compliments from family and friends who have commented on how natural my eyes have turned out. I am glad I chose to have my surgery completed at Thank You plastic surgery and would recommend them!
