Cannot Say Enough Good Things

Several years ago, I underwent eyelid surgery with a different surgeon that was not successful. I had a revision with that same doctor which made it worse with asymmetry and scarring that was quite prominent. This plagued me for years and deeply affected my self esteem before I decided to try to correct it. I must have researched hundreds of surgeons before I landed on Dr. Kang. The differences in treatment were immediate. Dr. Kang took the time to discuss my problems, align expectations and was very professional. Because some time had passed since the initial consultation, he had me come back once more before the surgery date and he did a wonderful job explaining what the procedure would entail. One thing that absolutely stood out to me was that Dr. Kang is a perfectionist as well as his natural approach. (That was not common during my search. Most surgeons I encountered during my search leaned towards dramatic results and I wanted nothing more than to look natural.) There was a lot riding on the results for me, but I was minimally nervous on the day of the procedure which really speaks to how competent I believe Dr. Kang and his team are. He doesn’t oversell and he is very honest. I believe he is a rare doctor. As someone who has very high standards and is a perfectionist, I cannot say enough good things about him.

I had an upper blepharoplasty last year that left one of my eyes smaller to where the eyelid shows a lot more on that eye bc it doesn’t open as it did prior to surgery and the surgeon;(Dr H Mentz) cut that eyelid so high and not in the crease (as he did on the other eye and as should be done) I now have a permanent scar that’s visible unless I wear eyeshadow. I went for a consultation w an oculoplastic surgeon, but he recommended leaving it alone bc he couldn’t guarantee he could fix it. It’s so embarrassing and I don’t look in the mirror. And Dr Mentz denies anything is wrong. Did you have a similar issue w your eye?
