How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.
If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

Regret
hesitated for a long time deciding whether to write this review because dr adrian and his staff were so nice. but i think this is important for potential people who are considering getting double eyelid surgery to be wary of. i did incisional double eyelid surgery + medial epicanthoplasty. i met the doctor twice before the surgery (once for consultation, and once directly before the surgery). the consultation was very in-depth and it felt like the doctor really knew what i wanted. however, I felt that the last conversation before the surgery was rushed and i was left feeling unsure if my preferences were remembered. surgery went smoothly, however, one of the nurses left a stitch in my eye which i felt was quite unprofessional. post-surgery, i quite liked my results for the first month, but i soon realised that the droopiness of my eyelids were not the result of the residual swollenness but was due to the crease being cut too high. additionally, my eyes looked uneven and this was exacerbated by the medial Epicanthoplasty (the cut on the inner corner of my right eye was bigger than the left, and my right eye was closer to my nose than my left). i found myself liking how i looked prior to the surgery more and I felt even more insecure about my eyes than before :( now my eyes look perpetually tired and droopy, and i look so old. I use eyeliner to conceal the droopiness of my eyes (my eyes now suit heavy makeup looks), but I don’t dare to go out without makeup anymore.
i was trying to understand how this happened as from my own impression dr ooi is very skilled and qualified. perhaps it was due to a mismatch of expectations, because i think he gave me a more parallel crease compared to tapered one which did not really suit my face. i am now going to do a revision in Korea :( the price I paid for the surgery was also exorbitant, i realised it was higher than the average in Singapore. I wish I went for other consultations in Singapore before proceeding (although it seems like there have been a lot of regrets from those who’ve done it in sg) or just gone to Korea to do it.
