One Month Post-op
It’s been one month post-op from my revision surgery. I went ahead and had a couple of consultations at various clinics to see what my options were when it came to revision surgery. I’ve made a mistake of being too young and not doing enough research in what I wanted which resulted in looking for a good revision specialist. Korea is known for their clinics which is why I ultimately decided to do the surgery in Gangnam.
I came across AB Clinic from online as well as checking out their actual location, which seemed to be in a great location. Upon checking the clinic, it is very professional, clean, and orderly. After having a consultation with the doctor, they went ahead and acknowledged, reassured, and let me know everything I needed to before and after the surgery. It was nice to see how thorough both staff and doctors were. I decided to go ahead and book the appointment with the clinic after being satisfied with the professionalism and expertise that I was looking for.
The day after the operation, I had less swelling than I initially thought which was nice. Since everyone is different, it may result in different outcomes, but I was pleased with how much less shallow the new crease was compared to my old one as well as evening them out. The doctor stated that it will take at least three months for the optimal outcome as there will still be residual swelling left in the area. Overall, the recovery process was smooth, minimal swelling and bruising, and I was able to go about my day a week and a half after. Utilizing the ice pack and making sure to take your medication, and keeping the area clean definitely helps.
I would recommend the clinic to anyone that is looking for a good initial surgery clinic as well as for revisions. They also have a separate dermatology clinic next door which is also worth checking out while you’re there.
Overall, I would say the surgery is a success and will continue to look forward to the healing process.
