AB Plastic Surgery - Seoul

I very recently got some surgery done at AB plastic surgery and wanted to share my experience! AB does give you a discount for writing reviews but it can be about anything regardless if your experience was bad or good. First off my experience with them was very positive. They had really great translators (I had multiple different people depending on the day) and they communicated very well on how my surgeries were going to be done and what I need to do for after care, etc. I had gotten 3-set contour Jaw, chin, and cheek bone reduction. As well as fat grafting and fat repositioning on my smile lines. Eye bags, and upper eye lids. There was a bit of waiting during my in person consultation, but there were a lot of people there so I didn’t mind. My translator also said it was peak season for them so makes sense. Facilities were super clean as well. Pro tip don’t take the elevators since they take too long, just use the escalators. I am pretty happy with my results, but I still have a lot of swelling since I am writing this 1 month post surgery so I cannot give my full opinion on how I look just yet. Overall I had a great experience and will probably go back for some minor surgeries in the future.

I wanted to share my experience because when I started researching Korean plastic surgery — especially AB clinic — I honestly couldn’t find that much detailed info. So maybe this helps someone who’s in a similar situation. For context: I had dermal fillers for about 6–7 years. At first I loved them, but over time they started migrating and making my face look worse instead of better. I eventually decided to dissolve everything and go for a more permanent solution — a facelift combined with fat transfer — instead of continuing the filler cycle. After dissolving the fillers, my skin became really saggy, much worse than I expected. I genuinely felt like I suddenly looked 20 years older. It affected my confidence a lot, and I was honestly hiding my face for about a week before flying to Korea for surgery. First impressions & communication From the moment I arrived, the service was really reassuring. I was nervous about the language barrier, but they provided a translator who spoke perfect English and helped me with everything — appointments, questions, and even emotional reassurance. That made the whole experience much less stressful. Surgery & hospital care I had a facelift plus fat transfer to restore volume more naturally after removing fillers. The surgery day, overnight hospital stay, and aftercare were handled very professionally. The staff were attentive, kind, and calming. Even though they clearly treat many patients daily, I still felt very personally cared for — almost VIP-level attention. Whenever I had questions after surgery, they answered my messages very quickly, which helped a lot during recovery when you tend to overthink everything. Recovery so far I’m currently 17 days post-op. Still swollen (totally normal), but I already feel much better in my skin compared to how I felt after dissolving fillers. I’m excited to see the final result once everything settles because I can already see positive changes despite the swelling.

Please note My doctor was Choi Jae Ik, he does not have a real self profile but I want to still share my personal experience. I always had a very saggy skin despite being young still . One of my biggest insecurities was the deep smile line around my nasalobial folds . I tried many non surgical treatments like thread lift and microneedling but unfortunately it did little to no effect. I had my consultation with Dr.Choi , he is actually well known for facelift and fat grafting. Since am young he suggested I proceed with a ponytail scarless facelift. It was truly one of the best decisions I made . The recovery was a bit though so please keep in mind that it needs a lot of patience before seeing the final results (which takes at least up to a year) , but it’s all worth it . I had NO scars post surgery.

First of all please note that my doctor was Dr. dongpil Joe . I couldn’t pick him as he has no account on real self so please keep in mind. I had a recessed shin which I truly was self conscious about but was always scared to do any surgery to that part, so I always had fillers done . However , I didn’t get the outcome I wanted from fillers which is why I decided to have a consultation for the genioplasty. Am so glad my doctor was Dr. Joe , he was truly amazing , can speak English and really gave me valuable insights that made me go through with the surgery . Trust me when I say I excepted it to hurt and for the recovery to be hard , BUT it was easier than expected! After the first 2 days post op I barely felt any pain at all ! My recovery was one of the smoothest and am extremely happy with the results. It was truly life changing !! My side profile changed drastically and am able to eat comfortably and no complications at all after 1 year. If you are in Korea and wish for a genioplasty , I genuinely recommend this doctor. He is so sweet and kind and equally professional. High high high recommended !!

I had a great experience at AB Surgery Clinic. All thanks to the 2 highly skilled advanced surgeons, Dr. Choi and Dr. Bae. Throughout my 21 days post-op recovery I had no pain, with only tension around incisions. I’m very happy with the healing progress so far and my renewed, refreshed face. I highly recommend AB. I also want to thank the amazing team of staff. They are all very friendly and helpful.

Got a good discount and free airport transfer for my procedure.The consultation was professional yet very friendly. They really listened to the look I wanted and made thoughtful recommendations that suited my existing features. Language is also not an issue, they provide in-house translators who are very caring and professional too! The recovery process was very smooth. On the third day, I went back to have the nose cast removed, and on the seventh day, I returned for stitch removal. Throughout the entire process, there was minimal discomfort and pain. I was also given clear aftercare instructions, and the team checked in regularly to make sure everything was healing well, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. Overall, a great experience and I would highly recommend this clinic.

I had a Non-Insicional Double Eyelid and Ptosis Correction surgery at AB Plastic Surgery in Gangnam and I was very satisfied with my experience. This was my first time getting a cosmetic procedure and the process was made so simple for me. They provided an English translator and English-written documents which made everything clear to me as a foreigner. Leading up to my procedure, they communicated on Whatsapp all the measures and precautions to take before the surgery, which was all very straightforward and simple. The procedure itself was very simple and I had no complications. They provided me with the essential information for my recovery. Bruising and slight pain only lasted a week but I was given an icepack and pain relief medication which helped a lot! It has since been a month since I had my procedure and all of my bruising and swelling have healed. I can touch my eyes without any pain now. I am very happy with the results of the procedure, everyone has complimented them! I'm most satisfied with the subtle and natural appearance, it makes me forget I had the procedure at all! Price was originally $2400 AUD but they reduced it to $1200 as long as I gave a review :)

Hey guys! I just wanted to share my experience getting incisional double eyelid surgery with ptosis correction at AB Plastic Surgery in South Korea. I decided to go with AB because their prices were reasonable and, more importantly, I felt genuinely heard during the consultation. They listened to my concerns, explained different options without pushing anything unnecessary, and were able to schedule both the consultation and surgery very quickly, which worked well for my timing. I originally sought surgery because I had a severe eczema flare-up that caused the skin above my eyes to sag, leaving my eyelids uneven. I wanted a higher and more defined crease to correct this, and I was told that incisional double eyelid surgery with ptosis correction would work best for my case. The whole process went smoothly, and even though I’m not a fan of invasive procedures, the staff—and especially the translator—helped me feel at ease throughout everything. At 1 month post-op, I had no complaints at all. There was still some swelling, but I was already happy with the direction things were going. Now that I’m about 2 months post-op, the swelling has continued to go down little by little. They’re still a bit puffy in the mornings, and I’ve noticed that one side seems to be de-swelling slightly faster than the other, but I’m assuming it’s just part of the normal healing process. I’m not worried about it, and overall I’m really happy with how my eyes look so far. If anyone has questions about the experience, feel free to ask! Also, if you have any good tips for reducing scarring, I’d love to hear them. Mine are fading slowly, but looking at them every day makes it hard to tell if there’s much progress.
