3 Month Post Operation - Update
WORTH IT
It has been about 3 months since my double eyelid surgery and ptosis correction at Girin. Girin has been accommodating for any concerns or questions I have, understanding my busy schedule and the time difference. My eyelids have become more symmetrical since a month or two ago, and I hope the minor details become symmetrical in 3 more months. My eyelid strength feels more balanced between my two eyes, which I believe is thanks to perform eyelid exercises. Many of my friends and family have said that my sleepy/tired vibes have gotten better and have liked the changes. This has really improved my confidence overall in my daily life. So far, I am satisfied with the results. I hope that with more time, especially with more eyelid exercises, that the results get even better.

Girin Plastic Surgery – My Experience
While I was in Korea, I wanted to do one last consultation before making a final decision. I came across Girin Plastic Surgery online, saw great reviews, and decided to just walk in. Luckily, they were able to fit me in that same day.
First Impressions & Consultation
Even though I came without an appointment, the staff welcomed me warmly. The consultant was super patient, explaining everything from the surgery process to clinic policies, and the surgeon himself went through all the details with me. He even helped take reference photos so we could plan the design. Out of all the clinics I visited, Girin offered the best price and gave both me and my travel companion the most confidence in the surgeon’s skills—so we decided to go for it. Between the two of us, we had two incisional double eyelid surgeries, two ptosis corrections, and one epicanthoplasty.
Surgery Day
I’ll admit I was nervous, but the translator and nurse were so kind and chatty that they really helped calm me down. Everything was prepared in advance, and the surgery itself went smoothly. After a short rest, I was able to walk out comfortably, feeling very well cared for the whole time.
1 Week Post-Op
The recovery went better than I expected. I followed their aftercare instructions closely, and healing was smooth with very little discomfort. Stitch removal was quick and easy. One thing I really appreciate is how accessible Girin is they’re always open for consultations and treatments, which is especially reassuring for someone traveling from overseas. Their translators are also excellent, making communication stress-free.
2 Weeks Post-Op
During the second week, I had some burning/stinging in my right eye that made it tear up a lot. Thankfully, it only lasted a few days before fading. Even after leaving Korea, Girin kept in close contact with me via WhatsApp, answering all my questions whether it was about using eye drops, taking Tylenol, or when I could apply sunscreen near the surgical area. It gave me real peace of mind knowing they were still looking after me from afar. Healing has been going smoothly, and my results so far are very symmetrical.
1 Month Post-Op
I’m back home now and back to my normal routine. My eyes are healing nicely and are close to perfectly symmetrical. My right eyelid (the one with ptosis correction) feels like it has slightly stronger muscles, but with the eyelid exercises they taught me, the balance is improving. I know retraining my eyelid muscles after 22 years will take time, but Girin continues to answer my questions and guide me through it. So far, I have zero regrets and I’m excited to see my results at the 6-month mark.
