Best Decision I’ve Made So Far!

I never truly struggled with my hooded lids until after high school when I noticed that my eyes appeared really small in selfies and photos. I then started using eyelid tape (end of 2017) thinking I could “train” my eyelids to be a higher double eyelid.
That in turn, made my eyelid skin really loose and saggy and they became very unstable. That’s when I started to seriously research into getting Double Eyelid Surgery.
In the beginning, I was set on going to Korea since they are very known for this procedure. But after reading many horror stories, I became very scared and had no confidence in getting any surgery overseas where I had no proper insurance or simply just the comfort of my own home during recovery.
That’s when I found Dr Leo Kim.
From my initial consultation to the subsequent one, he was always very honest with his “vision” on the surgery and achieving a natural look that followed the anatomy of my eyes. Dr Kim firmly told me that both he and the patient’s goals/vision needed to align first before he would agree to performing any surgery. This was one of the major contributing factors to why I went with Dr Kim for my procedure.
He was never pushy or ever rushed me into booking the surgery. In fact, he was quite the opposite and told me that I had all the time in the world to do this and reassured me that I needed to be confident and sure about it before booking it in – even telling me to get different opinions from other places.
He also provides a great aftercare service for his patients by giving them a direct point of contact post-surgery to answer any concerns they might have during recovery.
His honesty and his aftercare service really showed me that he cares for his patients and that’s what really won my trust and gave me the confidence to go with Dr Kim for this procedure.
Dr Kim’s staff are also really nice and so easy to communicate with. Khristal, his nurse, was very good and patient with me; settling my nerves when I was getting my stitches out (had a bad experience previously at a different place) and did a fantastic job – did not hurt at all and honestly could not even feel it.
I am now almost 2 weeks post-op, and already loving the results! There is minimal scarring and the bruising all subsided within the first week, with the swelling being extremely manageable and I already feel confident to go out without a worry – secretly enjoying how high the crease looks since I know it will drop heaps as the swelling goes down and settles in the next months. I've gained a significant amount of self confidence in the past 2 weeks and I am so thankful I went to Dr Kim.

I’ve always been self conscious that my hooded lids were not suitable for eyelash extensions, but recently got them done and am in love with how well it complements my new eyelids!!!
