On 2 October 2014 I had my liposuction that was performed by Dr. l. Dwight Baker in Dothan, Alabama. I was so excited to finally make the decision to have the lipo however, my excitement was short lived when after six months post-op, I still looked like I need lipo. I found a new doctor in Atlanta, Dr. Windell Boutte.

Terrible Lipo

Since my surgery 1yr ago, I've shared my story and results with several of my friends and many have asked the following:
What made you choose Dr. Baker?
I chose Dr. Baker because he was recommended by several of my friends who went to him for Breast Augmentations. They all loved their new look and spoke about what a good job he did with their enhancements. I also chose him because he was the only Dr out of three others I had consults with that offered General Anesthesia.
Did you see photos of his work on other patients?
I did not although during my consult he told me to view his before and after photos when scheduling my surgery date with one of his assistants. When I asked to see the photos, I was told none were on file of previous Lipo patients. I was surprised by this response because Dr. Baker seemed sure he had some on file. Looking back, this should have been a warning that something was wrong with the response I was given. I was too excited to finally move forward to have the procedure that I ignored that one warning sign. My advice to everyone is please make sure you see photos of the doctors work.
Why didn't you wear your binder along with your garment?
I was given to garnets both on size XL and was not given a binder or told to purchase one. I always follow my doctors recommendations and if I was told I needed to wear tighter garments I would have purchased additional. I now realize that I should've been wearing tighter compression garnets however, I'm not sure just how much change in my figure I would have actually achieved considering the proper amount of fat was not removed to have achieved my desired outcome.
I hope my updates will be helpful to anyone considering having the procedure.

Revision Lipo completed!

I had my procedure yesterday, upper/lower abs, flanks and bra rolls. I must admit at times during the prep procedures I experienced pain. For example when the catheter was being inserted, the nurse just shoved in very aggressively and shocked me how rough she was. Afterwards there was no pain at all with it inserted.
Nurse Lee came in and took a few photos and did the drawing on my body. The atmosphere made me feel really relaxed. She gave me a liquid in my mouth through a syringe and told I would soon begin to see flying Angels.
Next a male doctor came in and I was told he was going to insert the numbing solution. No one warned me how brutally painful the process was. OMG someone should have explained that process and I think if I knew what to expect, I would have mentally been prepared for it. After the first two times, Nurse Lee came sound and squirted more of the red liquid in my mouth and said again this is going to make me Angels.
I don't remember a damn thing after that point so she was tight it knocked me out cold! I am some what disappointed that I did see Dr. Boutte during the prep procedure. When I signed in, I was the first patient for the morning (8:00) so I know she wasn't with another patient. Like manny of you, I've had multiple surges in the past and this was the first time ever that the doctor didn't come speak to me prior to the procedure.
I don't remember anything other than the
pre-op process so all I can say is the surgery went well. I don't remember my husband putting me in the car, driving home, getting out the car and going to bed.
I got up this morning to change my dressings and pajamas because everything was sailed with blood and fluids.
When I took the garment off I almost cried with joy because I no longer have a pouch and flabby abs. Words cannot express how happy I am with the results at only day 1. I will post pictures later today after I take my shower and let you be the judge of how I look.
I do know that if I had to do it all again, I would definitely go back to Dr. Boutte. I only ask that her staff explain in detail what to expect with regard to pre-op and post-op information. My husband said no one explained anything to him after the surgery.
