38 YO W/Major Weight Loss & Prior Breastfeeding - Dothan, AL

At the age of 23, I lost 170 lbs. In the past 16 years I've had 2 babies, both of whom I nursed and I've maintained the original weight loss. My breasts had been in desperate need of at least a lift for several years. My husband and I had discussed the surgery for a few years but after meeting one of Dr. Baker's clients, and seeing her results, we decided it was finally time to have a consultation and find out exactly what my options were. I didn't have unrealistic expectations. I knew there would be certain limitations on what could be accomplished. During my consult, I was given every opportunity to ask as many questions as I wanted with each being answered honestly. What was recommended for me was explained thoroughly, to include every aspect of the process as well as the reason for that particular recommendation. I was concerned that other procedures would be suggested, almost as a sales pitch. Nothing like that happened at all. The doctor as well as the staff were incredibly professional and kind. No pressure to schedule surgery was put on me at any time. I ended up getting a breast lift that utilized an incision around the areola as well as a vertical incision on the underside of my breast. I also opted for shaped and textured silicone implants that were placed under the muscle. I went in for surgery first thing in the morning and was home that afternoon. My recovery time was approximately six weeks... maybe a little less but I followed the instructions given to me to make sure I didn't have any complications. I will say that the first two weeks were rough. I was incredibly sore and scared with what my breasts looked like in the beginning. There was a lot of swelling, which the doctor had explained previously. The implants also sat very high, which had also been explained to me. They have settled over the weeks into a very natural shape and position and, of course, the swelling slowly subsided. I am loving my new look! This surgery was worth every penny just for the boost in confidence alone! I am so glad that I finally had this done, after years of being unhappy with his my breasts looked. I would suggest that anyone wanting to have a lift or implants needs to be open minded and realistic with their expectations of end results. This has definitely had a positive impact on my life.
