Yummy Mommy Wants to Remove Flabby Tummy - Dominican Republic
r_kellySeptember 20, 2016
I have been researching surgery in the Dominican Republic for quite some time and narrowed down the doctors to Yily de los Santos, Hector Cabral and Fatima Almonte. I contacted all the aforementioned doctors and only Dra. Almonte responded, she asked me about prior surgeries and requested pictures and gave me a quote of 5,250 for a tummy tuck, liposuction and bbl. I sent my deposit of $350 US and secured my sx date on 11/2/16. I got an email from Yily who quoted me 5,500 in an email that seemed to be generic. How can you quote me and recommend procedures for me when you haven't seen any pics or asked any prerequisite questions? I responded to the email asking about a concern that I had and I'm still waiting on a response. Dr. Cabral hasn't responded me I was warned about his bad practices and was warned by my physician not to do surgery with him. I am still doing research on doctors in DR, if anyone has and doctors to suggest let me know.

I have heard numerous reports about Cabral and I would run, run, run as fast as you can! I read an article today from a Dominican newspaper from last year talking about another patient of his dying after surgery. The comments below from locals were a lot worse, calling him the butcher.
I am contacting different doctors as well and I have found Dra Tania Medina to be responsive. Her response was kind of generic as well, but I was speaking to her on WhatsApp. Speaking of WhatsApp, download it and try adding any of the DR Doctors cell phone numbers you are interested in into your phone contacts. Go back to WhatsApp, and they will most likely be there and easier to contact). Back to Medina, I will say she answered the questions I did have. She is also a member of the American Board of Plastic Surgeons, which is pretty huge.

So.... during my pre-op exam I was diagnosed with fibroids and an ultrasound confirmed it. I've been in contact with the staff about this issue and was given the option to reschedule. Since my boyfriend and I have already requested time off, purchased tickets and made plans around my SX date I will try to keep it. I have another appointment with my doctor who will let me know if I am cleared for surgery. Fingers crossed!!!!
