I have tummy tuck, lipo to the back and stomach. I had it done in the D.R. I came home earlier then my doctor wanted me to as well as removed my drains before he wanted me to. I feel fine except I think I've been doing a little bit to much. My scar feels as it is ripping and my back back hurting. I've had shortness of breathe if I walk to long or stand. I just think I've been over doing it. Also before I got the procedure done I had an arch in my back now it seems as if my back goes straight down to my back I am hoping that this is just from swelling because it is ugly. Lol anyone has had this problem?

18 days post op
Today will be 18 days post op for me. It was a little rough last past week but I made it through. I took shower without my fiance help yesterday and it felt really good. The lumps in my back are leaving since I've been getting massages. My back is feeling better . Starting to walk up straight. If I sit tO long my back locks up. I am feeling really wonderful about myself. I love Dr. G's work.

yes, how long did you stay in DR and what recovery house did you stay at?
also, how long did you keep drains in? Is it true the entire time there you can't shower.

I stayed a total of 12 days I stayed at high class recovery home. I kept my drains in for 9 days. I took them out against my doctors will. But I was ready to come home. Yes you can't shower the whole time you are there but the nurses at high Class washed me up daily. Washed my garments daily made me feel at home.

You like Dr FG Bbl...but you had a good foundation. I more breast and narrow hips. I have a lil fluff lol. I would be so grateful if he could do fat transfer to the thighs.

20 days post op
Hello ladies I am 20 days post op as of today. I am standing up a little bit more. My back isn't as tight but the tightness has moved to my belly it's very weird. I have finally found a comfortable way of sleeping, on my back flat down. But of course it makes my sinus drain like crazy but I'd rather have that then discomfort. When sleeping like that as I wake up in morning I don't feel stiff I feel fine as I move around during day I feel back tight which is very weird. But my soreness is almost all the way gone and am very happy of that. Doesn't hurt tO laugh anymore. That's very awesome.

Thanks for the pics and info. I had no idea about the no shower rule. When you have a chance please post pictures of your scar, I'm always interested in how scars turn out on other African American women. To be honest, that scar (& money) are what have most held me up from getting tt before.

My scar looks amazing. It is a very defined and neat line. If I wear panties you can't even see it. But I'll post pics later today. Also my doctor offered financing as well something you may want to look into.

Thanks! Actually, I'm going in July. I was going in June but postponed a few weeks just to get my iron up to 13 hopefully

It does sounds like you may be over doing it a bit. Try to slow it down and this will help with the pain and swelling. The first 6 weeks are very critical in the healing process and this can't be rushed.
