My Butt
I was very happy with the last pic I posted of my butt at 5 weeks post op. It was jiggly and big and I got compliments everywhere I went. I thought it would stay that size forever but it's lost some of it's volume. Don't get me wrong, it's still way better than before, I just wish it was a little bigger.
My Tummy Tuck
I couldn't be happier with my tummy tuck. My waist is now 28 inches and I never thought it would be so small. Because my tummy tuck was done so tight my scar is a bit thick in the center where there was the most tension but the sides look amazing. I've had some problems with the tummy tuck scar tissue causing back problems for me and I've been going to a massage therapist and osteopath for that, it's been helping a ton! I feel better and better every day.
When I started going back to the gym it was crazy how much stronger my stomach felt. I wasn't expecting that. Before surgery, I could plank for 20-30 seconds max and now I can hold a plank for 60 seconds easy.
My Life
I can't even begin to describe how this has changed my life. Was it worth it? Hell yes. This is the best thing I've ever done for myself.
I used to feel self-conscious constantly and want to hide my stomach in all social settings. Even though I came across like a confident fun girl, my insecurities were always in my head. Now I feel like I can just be myself with no inner monologue about how fat I am. I finally feel free.

Seroma + Measurements
So I got a seroma (a collection of fluid under the skin) one week post op. I was unable to do up my faja because of how tight my tummy tuck was at first. The day I did it up I shrunk soooo much but was left with a little jiggly sac of fluid on my lower right abdomen from the middle to my hip bone.
The Doctor drained in twice and my massage therapist drained it twice in the DR. Basically they stick a needle in you until liquid starts coming out then attach a syringe and suck it out. Ew I know. But it didn’t hurt at all because I was still totally numb from the tummy tuck.
After it was drained they recommended lots of compression, they wanted me to do my faja up as tight a possible and use an ab board. The hope was that my body will reabsorb the fluid. It seemed to be getting better but the flight home made it way worse.
When I got home after 3 flights and 17 hours my seroma was huge. It was sticking out and jiggling all over the place. I was stressed out because I didn’t know what to do about it. I went to my family doctor and she wouldn’t drain it and referred me to go to a radiologist. The problem was I couldn’t get an appointment for 3 weeks.
I tried to find someone else to help me with this, it was so uncomfortable and annoying. I really didn’t want to go to emergency. So I decided I was going to draiN it myself. It seemed easy enough when they were doing it in the DR. Obviously this wasn’t the smartest choice but I was confident enough. I knew that if there was any puss or sign of infection I would go straight to emergency. I went to the medical supply store and got gloves, alcohol pads, 60cc syringe and 18 gauge luer lock needles.
I drained over 200 cc’s of fluid out of myself sitting on the ledge of my bathtub that night. I felt so much better after. I drained it twice more over the next two weeks and by the time I got in for my appointment it was almost gone. They said if it gets bigger I may have to get another drain put in but everything was looking good and it should go away all together soon.. I thought the doctor was going to judge me for doing it myself but he didn’t. Hopefully the seroma issue has come to an end.

I applaud you for draining that !! You did what you had to do couldn’t afford to wait 3 weeks and take the change of it getting worse . I feel you ....what is the cause of seromas ? Is it because you couldn’t wear the faja to a week later ? I pray it’s gone and don’t come back .!! Great measurements girl you looking good !!! How is recovery so far ? Besides the Sedona issue ? How long did your pain last after a TT? How many days would you say the most pain hit ? Like first 2 or 3 or first week ?? I’m getting TT BBl and lipo in February
Thank You. As I understand it, fluid (mostly lymph) can easily build up after a tummy tuck because a pocket has been made where there's separation between the muscle wall and the skin. Fluid easily builds up there. I thought that not wearing my faja had something to do with it but who knows for sure. For me the pain was the worst on day 2 and 3 and then it got significantly better every day after that. I stopped taking pain meds after 1 week. Good luck with your journey!
My sister also had the same problem the ER referred her back to her surgeon so she got some syringes and drained herself as well! You are correct when there is no compression fluid will fill the area so it's good to do foam on top of the ab board and have your faja taken in as much as possible

Booty at 5 weeks
This is my booty 5 weeks out. I? asked for natural size so I’m happy with my results :)
My booty swelling is gone and everything I? jiggling as it should now. I? thought people would totally be able to tell I? had surgery but since I’ve been back everyone has just been asking if I’ve been going to the gym. Finding jeans that fit is a bit of an issue but I’m not complaining ;)
I? still have some swelling on my back and stomach but I’ll do another post with pics about that soon.

Thanks, very informative. I plan on doing the same procedures in October/18. I too am from Canada (Toronto). Found only one air line that takes you directly there, but that is on certain dates. Other than that its the lay overs. How did your plane ride go on your way back. Which air line did you use. Did you stand, pillow. So stressed about this. Thanks
