My experience with Contreras, the compact version
I entered the operating room the day of my surgery and saw my pictures on the screens very large. I spoke to the anesthesiologist and he was very friendly. He asked me some questions and soon enough had the IV going. I was talking to him and then I was out.
Sometime into my surgery I woke up. I felt no pain and when I looked at the people in the room the only one I recognized was the anesthesiologist. No Contreras in sight. The anesthesiologist was bobbing his head and humming and I started giggling. He noticed I was awake and giggled too, and we giggled at each other for a little bit before he put me back to sleep.
When I woke up I was back in my room at Plastica Contreras. I saw my best friend and IMMEDIATELY tried to stand up and go to the bathroom. I wasn't thinking straight and was still kind of out of it. Lol. Some words were said and I told my bestie she was evil because she wouldn't let me pee, and she told me about my catheter. That catheter was my worst nightmare. It hurt so bad! I begged and pleaded until they finally took it out.
Walking to the bathroom was terrible; I had to walk at a 90 degree angle with the tummy tuck and the pain was something fierce. I was sore with the lipo but the tt incision was killer. The ridiculous amount of pain that I put myself through will not happen in RD 2. DR meds SUCK. I only had extra strength Tylenol with me. I stayed at Plastica Contreras for 4 days. Let me tell you that these were some terrible, terrible days.
The nurses were terrible. They didn't come in to check on me and my best friend was luckily there to help me with everything. One night there I woke up and was pretty much screaming from pain and she had to go wake up a nurse who had made a bed on the floor behind the nurse's desk. The meals were like two slices of cheese, stale crackers and MAYBE some small piece of fruit. They forgot meals several times.
In the mirror my butt looked HUGE and amazing. My tummy was flat and the incision looked clean enough . He did not lipo the areas I had asked for in addition. I left Plastica Contreras and went to stay with my friend at a small apartment we had rented out for the remainder of my stay.
Flying home was difficult. I had compression socks which helped greatly, but sitting on my boppy hurt and the flight to Florida was short. Once home, I was severely swollen. Like my legs went elephant status and I thought if I walked the skin would burst open.
I also gained an infection in my left booty cheek. I have no idea how, or why, and when I e-mailed Contreras over and over and over again he didn't respond. When I finally called his office he sounded angry that I would bring it up and was very short with me when I expressed my concerns. He said it would go away on it's own- it didn't. TWO rounds of Cipro later (prescribed by my PCP) I was finally okay.
Today I am almost 9 months post-op. And my butt is the same size as when I went. My tummy tuck scar is dark and curved oddly, and I'm not really satisfied with my results at all. I plan on returning to DR in April, hopefully Duran will forgive me for not going to her in the first place.

I switched it up last minute! I am a proud CONTRERAS doll and keep patting my booty. Lol. I'll give an extended update later but now I am about to KO
One month away
I am beyond excited. My surgery is in less than a month. It's finally coming!
