Smile before it was ruined with dimpleplasty

Here are pics of my smile at various angles before I underwent dimpleplasty. So far I really regret having done this. The aesthetic benefits do not outweighs the risks. I look older and can smile normally. I am known for my smile and laugh this is psychologically very hard. I need a minimum of 200 characters.

Day 4

Smile is still crooked and hurts to smile on the right side. Sharp stinging pain continues on right side frequently. Tylenol does not help. Yellow bruise area getting bigger around the right side. Left side looks and feels pretty normal. A lot of swelling still. Cannot brush teeth normally. Cannot eat anything except protein shakes and cottage cheese.

Asymmetrical Results and Crooked Smile

I flew to Atlanta and had bilateral dimpleplasty 4/10/24. The nurse was great and answered a lot of my questions. During my procedure I felt a shooting pain on my right side and I was given extra numbing. The left side went smoothly. I immediately noticed very pronounced asymmetry and drastic change in my smile. The side that had the shooting pain droops. The office was very responsive to my concerns and the doctor even saw me on FaceTime to make sure it was not a nerve damage issue. I was told this is happening due to swelling but the other side is swollen and I do not have this issue. The right side pulls and I have sharp shooting pains occasionally and when I try to smile it’s like the stitch is preventing a muscle from moving. It’s tight. The other side does not have any of this. I’ve reached out to several influencers who have all written my back. I’m upset because they told me they were able to make sure their dimples were symmetrical. While a stick was held to my face to show me approximate placement there was no marking or measuring done for me. They also told me it hurt to smile but their smiles were normal. All the instagram post op pictures (right after procedure with numbing and swelling) have normal smiles. I am not an anxious person but the doctor keeps telling me to relax and let things heal but this is my face and the crooked smile was not a complication listed on the informed consent so of course I am worried when nobody else I’ve seen or talked to has had this complication. I’m scared healing means scar tissue forming which will fuse things together permanently and ruining my smile forever. I just spent $20k on new porcelain veneers and I can’t smile! I tried calling other doctors in my area but nobody performs this procedure. One doctor told me to go to the ER to have the stitches taken out. I am very scared and vague answers like “swelling” do not reassure me.
