Two years in; it's an improvement but not happy with nose scar. Dr. Kim is satisfied with results.

I am on day two of my dimple surgery and wanted to share my experience.

I flew in to Atlanta from out of town and went back home the same day with no issues. The building looks kind of sketchy but I was expecting that based on another review I read. The actual inside of the doctors office looks like a regular doctors office. I was greeted when I arrived, almost immediately taken back into the patient room to discuss the procedure and sign some forms. After I signed the forms and made the final payment Dr. Kim (who does not look like the picture associated with him on this review) came in to go over the procedure with me. We had a few jokes and laughed, he asked if I had any questions. From there I was taken to the "operating room" my arms were "strapped" down and I waited patiently for him to come back while the medical assistants/nurses got everything ready and sterilized my face.

Dr. Kim came in, turned on this bright light and started giving me something to numb my cheeks. This did not hurt. Maybe a little prick, but it hurts worse to bite your tongue or cheek on accident. I don't know what the needle looked like because my eyes were closed (the bright light shines directly in your face). Then he got to work. You could feel pulling/tugging that was awkward but no pain. He was done pretty quickly, 10 - 20 minutes max. I looked in the mirror and I was done.

The numbing wore off completely in about 4 hours but the pain after was bearable and relieved by the Tylenol they gave me to take home.

Today is day two and I do have some swelling still. Hurts to laugh and smile but otherwise it's fine.

I'm glad it's mask season so I don't have to worry about people staring at what looks like holes in my face. People who have seen me assumed I got my cheeks pierced. I will come back and update once the swelling and tightness goes away.

I am not sure if it's worth it yet only because I don't know what the final outcome is. But based on my experience so far, 10 out of 10, definitely recommend.

Dr. Kim & his staff was awesome! The actually procedure took about 5 minutes & I felt no pain. I am absolutely in love with my dimples, best $1200 I have spent on myself in a while. I got mine Thursday 3/10/22 & they are so beautiful.

I had a dimpleplasty procedure done with Dr. Kim in Atlanta, GA on 3/2021. The entire process was super quick! Dr. Kim walked in, marked me, asked if I liked the placement. After that I was taken to the procedure room, given PO antibiotics, plus pain meds (XS Tylenol). I was number with local anesthesia and boom! Dimples :)
My dimples haven't gone away, 8 months later and I am still obsessed with them!

So I got a second round of dimpleplasty 04/19/2022
No, my dimples did not fade at all. I just wanted them to be deeper. Here’s the result

So my overall experience went rather quickly. Dr. Kim came in told me to smile, marked me & was out of the room within seconds. No Hi, how are you or introduction. The nurse came back took my payment, we chatted a little & it was off to the operation room. The nurse got me all together and I laid awaiting Dr. Kim. Once he came in he administered the local anesthesia and immediately started the procedure. The initial cut I felt but it numbed rather quickly, all I felt was tugging from there on out. Took him about 10 minutes or less (I sent a text prior to getting on the table & checked the time stamp afterwards) Immediately after looking in the mirror I wanted to cry. I felt like I had ruined my face. I looked like handsome squidward lol I flew home right after & now 16 days post op, I am loving my results thus far. I feel I had more pain than expected because I went back to work the next day (talking & laughing was super painful) & wore a mask prestigiously for about a week. I smile alot so that too caused discomfort.

3 month update … I still love them so much , I get compliments all the time although I have been told it makes my face look “babyface” like. I do want a second round tho. They aren't deep enough for me, well just one side … I still have my scars they have not completely faded out but coverable with make up

I've had several facial procedures with Dr. Kim and have been extremely pleased. Dr. Kim has a lot of experience and is very talented mr honest. I've had several procedures including revision rhinoplasty, upper eyelid surgery, lip lift, lip implants, cheek implants, and C02 Laser treatment. I really like Dr. Kim and his staff. Hello everybody,
I got my procedure done 4 days ago by Dr. Kim in Atlanta. I flew from out-of-state to get this done by him because he had the biggest social media presence (including before and after photos) that I could find from doctors who do dimpleplasty.

The experience getting the surgery was pleasant. I have an aversion to needles, but Dr. Kim and his staff made me feel very comfortable and I liked that they explained every step of the process before they did it. I felt very informed on what they were doing.

I'm 4 days post-op and I have the typical "bullet-holes" in my cheeks which is normal following the procedure. I'm fortunate to have gotten them done during this face mask/quarantining era, so I can heal in peace.

My face is still pretty swollen and I can't flex the muscles in my cheek (smiling, yawning, even putting on lip gloss) because of the pain. Hoping that the pain subsides after this week and also hoping that my dimples will last. The more I read on the procedure - the more I read about how common it is for people to get them redone. But I'm staying optimistic because out of the thousands upon thousands of procedures that I'm sure Dr. Kim has done over the years - the 50 or so comments I've seen in complaint of them fading over time equals that 10% warning that he has in his policy forms.

I plan on updating and posting pictures when my face is not as swollen.

I’m about four weeks post-op. It took about 2.5 weeks for the pain and swelling to completely go away and I could go back to eating normally, which is a little long compared to some of the other reviews I’ve read here. Once the pain went away, the indents that were visible while I wasn’t smiling started getting smaller and smaller. The left dimple healed first, and the right dimple has a small indent still (see pictures). Also, the left dimple is a lot deeper and longer than the right side. Overall, I’m really happy and hoping I can make it past the four months without them disappearing. I’ll update in another couple weeks!

I've always thought that dimples were beautiful. Even though they actually are somewhat a deformity. So... I decided to treat myself for my 42nd Birthday. I absolutely love them. The process was quick and painless.

The building is a bit sketchy but once you open the door to the Drs suite, it’s really nice. Everyone is very pleasant and all of my questions were answered before my procedure. In the procedure room we had good convo about food and the restaurants I should try while visiting Atlanta. From start to finish it took less than 10 minutes. The Dr numbs both cheeks both inside and outside with a tiny needle. The worst part was the shot of antibiotics they give right before the procedure. That thing still has my arm sore lol. I was advised in advance that 10% of patients have to get a revision. I’m praying I’m in the 90% that don’t. My discomfort is managed well with Tylenol. Today makes 4 days since I had it done. I’m a little bruised on my right cheek, other than that... nothing much to say. I’m excited to see them completely healed. I’ll post pics monthly.

I can tell that my left is gonna be deeper than the right side. I’m so excited to see what they look like healed. They’re still very obvious, but once they heal, you’ll only see them when I smile. Crazy part is, no one notices anything different about me. Lol.

I’m a mother of 5 girls I always had an issue on my looks
My lips are small and I hated my double chin and always wanted dimples.
I live in Florida and it was hard to find someone down there that does this procedure. I did my research for almost two years and I found Dr. Kim he is amazing and very professional and was able to help me

I went to my scheduled appointment spoken to Dr. Kim about what all I wanted done. I asked him should I get this and should I get that he advised me what he can do to help. He examined my face to see where he would do work at marked me up with his little black markers. Asked me and my husband do we have anymore questions. I asked my Doctor which is best lip fillers or Lip implants he advised that lip fillers I would love the look but the look will only last for 6 months to a year and I would have to come back to get more fillers when lip implants are much more better and permanent. My husband really didn’t want me to touch my lips but he advised whatever makes me happy he is fine with it my husband is very supportive as well.
My husband went back into the waiting room kissed me goodbye while I went back into my operating room the nurse made me feel real comfortable and gave me some medication (omg I was in heaven). I passed out I was in and out during the procedure it was amazing how this medication I didn’t feel anything he numb me up with some shots around my face and got to work.
Woke up the nurse took me into their recovery room i stayed there for about 30 minutes I believe then my husband came to the back. The nurse and my husband helped me out the chair and took me to the car. Now after the medication wore off my lips are are swallowing I was in pain I’m a big baby when I say my cycle cramps kills me so I have low tolerance in pain what’s so ever. My neck and my jaw was in pain as well but not as bad as my lips were I try to sleep to keep the pain level down. Lips where swollen more then my neck and my dimples. Couldn’t really eat like I wanted but my husband went and got me some mash potatoes bowl at kfc without the chicken.
I told my husband I look like a man with my bandages off he laughed and told me I was beautiful and he can’t wait till everything heals up

The swelling went down tremendously the pain is there but not as bad. Been laying down all day my husband says I look good but I don’t see it yet
Just waiting on the end result wish me luck. Been keeping my my dimples clean with ornament keeping my lips cleans and with grease on them so they will not dry out
My lips are swollen but not as bad I have been eating mash potatoes because I can not open my mouth wide

The healing process is amazing still can’t really eat like I want but taking small bites my neck is healing well I can move it from side to side
I can smile a little but not to much
My lips are going down but my husband loves them (wink)

They last longer then fillers
Fillers are when doctor inject fat in the lips fillers last 6 month to a year
Lip implants are permanent

I had cheek and jowl lipo, chin augmentation, and dimples almost 3 weeks ago! I'm still very swollen and numb, can't open my mouth all the way. Doctor Kim says swelling takes 3-4 months to subside. I was fully awake for these procedures. Post more in a week.

This recovery is pretty rough. The swelling is continuous, my chin feels huge, the dimples are still deep, and I feel like I can still see jowls. I’m not feeling myself and having a hard time being in public. 5 more weeks and I should see some major improvements. Definitely need to lose 20 lbs too :)

Today I’m still swollen, especially on my left cheek near my mouth and chin is still very swollen all over looks huge. I need to keep reminding myself it can take months for swelling to subside. I wear. Strap a few hours at night to help. My jowl tea h improved but I’m still not happy there either. Kybella will be next if jowls aren’t improved by week 16. My jowls are the main reason for this whole journey. I’m going to the gym again and will lose weight, because I’m overweight and my face is always the first to puff up. I’ll post more pictures later today. Again, the procedures I had were jowls and chin lipo, chin implant, and dimples. Chin and dimples were a last minute decision :)

More updated pictures, jowls and chin very swollen bottom lip doesn’t move very much. Using scar gel for under chin scar. Jawline looking weird for 4 weeks. Hopefully this is all swelling and normal because I’m really not thrilled right now. Patience I keep telling myself.

I’ve circled the areas of swelling in this most recent picture. I’m Not sure at this point if the swelling is from the face Lipo the Chin or dimples. My jawline looks extremely uneven because my jowls are swollen.I’ve been reading a lot of other reviews just to find out when the swelling is going to subside I don’t think I have an infection although one of the areas is quite hard but the doctor said it’s been only four weeks to give it time. Every morning I hope to wake up without the tight feeling under my chin without my chin looking really fat and without my jowls been puffed up. Last night, I used a metal tiny measuring spoon that was round, I dipped it in hot water and coconut oil and use the back of it to massage the areas of swelling it did seem to help a tiny bit but if any of you can give me some pointers on how to get rid of the swelling it would be much appreciated. The swelling also seems to be giving me marionette lines on my mouth Ugh

Still really swollen I’m almost 6 weeks postop this recovery is really aggravating. I had liposuction of the jowls area, a chin implant, and dimpleplasty done in Atlanta. my jowl area is so swollen and looks fatter than it did before, my chin looks super thick and I’m hoping it’s swelling because if not at five months I’m going to take this out. also, my dimples still show when I’m not smiling which is supposed to subside by the eight week mark which will be January 18 I’m going to post an update every week and not sure if anybody’s reading these, but I hope it helps you guys see the process of recovery .

Based on the way I feel right now, I’m taking the chin implant out. I feel it’s aging me and making my jawline look even more uneven. My dimples aren’t helping the situation either. Monday I’m going to find a local plastic surgeon and schedule for March when I’m not swollen anymore.The whole reason for the surgery and me traveling all the way to Atlanta was to Improve my side profile, And I hate it even more now. I don’t mind my profile straight on but from the side I look worse and I don’t think it’s swelling I actually think something went wrong with the liposuction or the dimples are pulling in my muscle in a weird way but my jaw line looks horrible on the right side and I feel like the chin implant is accentuating it. I’m so disappointed and upset at this point I honestly wish I didn’t do it any of it.

I’m about 7 weeks post op now and see a slight improvement from last few weeks. I have a FaceTime appointment with my doctor tomorrow to discuss my chin and jawline. I’m unhappy with the bulk look of my chin and wonky uneven jawline especially on the right side. Whatever needs to be done I’ll have to do because I really wanted a more defined side profile and I haven’t achieved that result so I’m not sure what he’ll suggest tomorrow.

I had my FaceTime consultation. With Dr. Kim about a week ago he agreed that the chin implant was slightly too big. In his defense it’s my fault he suggested the small one and I wanted to go with the medium so I am going back to Atlanta in April when my dimples are healed. he said my dimples could take 3 to 4 months but he does not want to exchange the implant until they have healed completely. I’m still looking a little jowly, he said he will assess the jowl situation once I’m there and possibly do a little more micro liposuction in the jowl area.

Getting my medium chin implant out March 24h! Dr. Kim wants to replace it with a small one. I asked if I should just not replace it and he said I would look best with a small vs nothing. Also, going to see about getting a little more lipo in the pesky jowl area on my jawline.
