I was tired of no matter the about of exercise I put in it never helped. I decided about a month ago to get a TT with muscle repair. I have wanted to for so long but keep deciding against. Well finally bit the bullet and did it. I am not even 24 hours into it yet.

My pain is very minimal as reading comments I prepared myself for the worst. So far so good just some pulling and tightness and some pain in my incision. I go ack next week four a follow-up.

Following up.
Had my follow up at 6 days and that was on October 19th. They took the steristrip off and took out my stitches. I am now using a scar cream twice a day. Things are still going good pain wise. I was having major anxiety when I would take the binder off and would shower but I have calmed down. I would say the biggest thing for me that I hate is the feeling of my belly button. It makes me quesy so hoping that will get better.
Sleeping last night was non-existent. I was so cold and could not get comfortable at all. Thankfully I caught up on sleep today. I go back to work on the 30th so only a few more days at home. Not sure if I am ready yet. My walking is getting better but I still hunch sometimes and wall slowly because of the pain in my back. I have attached updated pictures. You can definately see the swelling. I know that takes time and will be so happy when the swelling goes away.
One major question. Did anyone's menstrual cycle get off from their surgery? Just wondering if I should still be worrying about starting tomorrow or if it will probably be delayed.

Hi I got my period a few days after my surgery and it was very light . I got my period again for this month I am almost 6 weeks PO. It was crazy heavy. Like I couldn't believe it ! And the bloating was crazy! I think once it was gone I felt a lot better. And my swelling seems better since then. Best of luck wishing you a smooth recovery

Thank you. I was supposed to start my period 2 days ago but nothing yet. I guess it will just come when it wants to come. Not looking forward to the bloating with it.

How are you doing now? You're results look so great already. I'm scheduled for Nov 9th and getting terrified!

Thank you. I am doing good except going back to work has been tough. I am getting there though. Good luck to you. You will do great. It's just the healing process takes a while but worth it in the end.

Hello how was going back to work?
November 2, 2017
It's been a little rough as I am swelling pretty bad and my back hurts by the end of the day. I was told by my nurse that if I am swelling a lot than I need to slow down. I am trying but I also have work that needs done.

Are you wearing a compresion garmet? I am about 7 weeks now and I still get swollen. :s
November 3, 2017
Yes I am still wearing a compression garmet. I have to wear it for 6-8 weeks. The swelling is no fun. There are days that I am very swollen and it's hard to walk and then I have good days.

how are you? I have surgery Tuesday the 16. my nurse at dr robbins(where you went) said they only wear cg for the first week then spanx? so scared I won’t have enough ski. to pull down scared I’ll have a vertical scar scared of recovery
January 14, 2018
I am doing good. They had me wear my compression garmet til 1 month. At the 1 week is when they took my stitches out. Also, there was no way that I could have given up tge cg at 1 week. I wonder why they told you one week. Recovery was the hardest as being bent over killed my back. If you keep up on meds. you should be fine on pain.
I felt the same way about my skin but its amazing what they can do. I was getting to the point that I wondered when my skin would loosen just a little bit and the muscles would loosen some. Its is finally at that point.

I will post an updated picture of me from a couple of days ago. I am just starting to be able to do some workouts so that is nice.

did you say you got depressed too? I’ve read all these women getting depressed, not sure if it’s they expected immediate results or them not being superwomen like they use to or the pain meds, now I don’t even want to take the pain meds longer than I have to.
January 14, 2018
I did not get depressed at all and I was on my medication for the whole week after my surgery. I just slept a lot.

6 week follow up

Blazing15
Well it's been 6 1/2 weeks since my surgery. I am doing good and definately starting to be able to do more. I still have swelling but mostly at night. I still have not really been able to sleep on my sides because my incision hurts. It looks really good I think but it's just sore. I was told at 4 weeks to quit wearing my compression garmet except when doing sonethimg for long periods of time. I want to start getting more into exercising as I have noticed a muffin top. Not sure if it is swelling or fat building up but it's got to go. I did try on a bikini for the first time in like 20 years. I have been doing small things here or there but nothing too crazy yet. I hope everyone is doing good on their recovery. I feel like the long recovery is the hardest part of it all.

Hi, how are you doing?
December 9, 2017
I am doing ok. I am 8 weeks post op now. My stomach is still very tight and the numbness feels really weird but I am doing ok. Not able to exercise much. My scar is still very sensitive. Even trying to lay on my side hurts. Ready for the recovery process to be done. I am not a patient person so that part is the hardest. How are things going with you?
December 9, 2017
Are you still swelling? I am so scared of the recovery process, sometimes my nerves betray me and I freak out lol but then I read alot of reviews of how it is worth it and I feel better lol
December 10, 2017
Yes I still swell but mainly because I am on my feet nonstop. The biggest thing I still have is that my stomach tenses up a lot. When waking up, while sleeping and going out in the cold. The surgery was nothing for me it's just the long recovery process but it does get easier and easier.
