I think my skin is looking brand new(almost)!! I get lots of compliments from Tamil about how clear my skin is now. Some days I see the difference and I'm ecstatic... other days I feel like it could be better... the only side effects I'm having is still the dry lips, I haven't tried aquaphor yet but I'm going to get it soon... I stopped using the Aczone and the other Acne meds I was on... I will continue them after my treatment ends. I will keep you guys posted in another month or so... also I did get my first very small pimple today..

It's been a little over 30 days and everything is going well. My skin is not as dry as the first few weeks but my lips are still really dry...

Hey Lady, I wanted to tune is because I will start taking Accutane in Feb 2017 going to the Dr today to start the process being that you have to wait a full month. I am so afraid to take this medicine but on another note tired of having adult acne. I'm over it!! I'm actually on the same topical medication that your on Fineca, Epiduo and Spiro and antibiotic. Have you experienced any body aches ? Do you drink while on this medication? How long did your Dr put you on this medication? How about depression? Can't afford to be depressed I have children.. Shed some light sister girl so scared!!

Hey hun, sorry for the late response! You have probably already started by now? I am going into my 5th month in March... I can tell you that I haven't had an acne breakout or any kind of breakout since the first month I started the Accutane. The worst symptom I have is dry lips... and throat. Yes I drink socially(all the time lol) on this meds. It hasn't affected me in any way.. as far as body aches or depression I'm not really sure because I suffer from Lupus and those are effects are that disease. I don't take any of the other topical meds anymore.... well except for Hydroquinone, which is a skin lightener. Hope this info helps, oh also some people get extremely dry, peeling skin.. I did for awhile and sometimes I still do randomly tho. I will be updating some pics soon.

Two week update... so far I'm still having the very dry skin side effects and I haven't found the right moisturizer yet... been still using Cetaphil and at night Vaseline because it soothes me. Someone on here told me to keep my face wet when I apply moisturizer and that seems to help!! My skin does seem to be getting a little better already, the dark spots seem to have lightened some... I still use my topical acne meds that were prescribed by my dermatologist. Finecia in the mornings and at night Epiduo, Aczone and Hydroquinone(skin lightening). These are photos from today

I would be really careful about using topical acne meds whilst using Accutane.
However, you are looking great and I can see improvement already!

My dermatologist told me to continue using the topicals! He will let me know when to stop, he says. Thanks

Cera ve has really good products it's a long the same lines as cetaphil except better and by better I mean with less harmful stuff also if you have time to wait for an order.. try ordering a cleanser called Aquanil from Amazon. It's absolutely amazing my derm. Just recommended it to me and I love it
