My Only Regret is That I Waited So Long

I went to see Dr. Michael A Janitch because I'd been feeling terribly self conscious for over 10 years about my nose. I had a couple of small lumps along the bridge of my nose from a previous surgery. I stopped wearing contacts and started wearing glasses to try to make it less obvious. Those lumps are something I've obsessed over and hated about myself on a daily basis for over 10 years.

I had seen someone else, 2 years earlier, who did a minor procedure that didn't work. This year I went to see Dr. Janitch. Something that struck me about him was that when we were discussing my nose, I didn't feel embarrassed. He was able to set a tone in the room in which I was able to talk about it without feeling shame.

Dr. Janitch ended up recommending a filler. It was not invasive. It was quick, with little pain, and I didn't need to empty my bank account. My nose actually looks like a normal nose! I am not a cryer, but there were real tears in my eyes when I looked at my nose for the first time. I now get to live a life where I don't even think about my nose...ever! My only regret is that I waited so long to do something about it.
