I now have two very large keloid scars on my upper lip!

May 19, 2020 dr. Pero performed dermabrasion for my upper lip wrinkles. During my consultation, I informed him that I had Volbella injections to diminish the wrinkles 6 mos earlier prior to the consultation but the outcome had poor results. He advised me there was "No problem " and said he could go ahead with the dermabrasion procedure.
I now have two very large keloid scars on my upper lip!! It's been 10 months now... I have had to have extremely painful steroid injections directly into the scars at $150 per treatment just to relieve the nerve damage, burning, itching, and pain due to the large keloid scars!!!
Dr. Pero never could verbalize the fact that he botched my procedure! Btw I don't have a history of keloid scars! He is the most unprofessional doctor I've ever encountered. I have been a registered nurse for 30 years and have never experienced the lack of concern and lack of truthfulness and professional accountability that dr colin Pero showed me! Do not go there! It is easy to get caught out with bad info and advice because we get desperate to fix problems, I had an accident to my nose and ended up with OCD and depression straight away because of the scars. I started to do more damage to myself in desperation after months of trying scar massage, and taping, I know now that scar revision is unlikely to work mostly because you will most likely get an unnatural looking fix, not my pre injured skin back. Very depressing to live with a scarred nose, a small accident has destroyed my quality of life. Cosmetic surgery still has a long way to go before it is able to fix things properly, people will continue to get caught out with complications,
Exactly my fear even though it’s what bothers me most in my face .

Are there more dermabrasion testimonials ?
I did not have any procedure done. But I did a lot of research. In the end it was when I irritated my skin by too much touching and cleaning it that I made it slightly worse that I realized removing skin was going to make things potentially a lot worse.
There are a few bad ones on this site. Google "dermabrasion ruined my life"
The psychological effect of scars and imperfections can be immense, it can make people take risks and do stupid things . That's why I started to make things worse by wanting my problem gone
Although my scars are slightly worse, It will be a reminder that cosmetic surgery carries risks, my skin did not even bleed, lucky I did not get my nose lasered, that guy wanted to laser my whole nose, imagine if that went wrong
