Skin Nightmare - 5 Months on and Still Bad Skin.

If I could give no stars I would. My experience from the day of the operation till today has been very traumatic.
Lets start at the beginning I was a very loyal patient of Dr Sultan Hassan and to say I was not rewarded for this loyalty is an understatement. As every time I saw him the price increase was ridiculous. I realise inflation is a factor but to charge almost double for what I received 2 years ago is just plain ludicrous, but blindsided with loyalty and scared to go elsewhere i continued to pay. I was charged for facial fat grafting and Derma roller £4,050. 2 years earlier for the same surgery it was £2,600.
I was highly reluctant to do Derma roller but after heavy persuasion and the benefits that Derma roller would give me with fat grafting I decided to go for it.
Originally at the consultation I was told the price would include forehead and under eyes. However on the day of my surgery Dr Hassan was highly reluctant to do my forehead and argued that this would make me look more masculine however did not say this in the consultation. After much deliberation he then agreed to add the fat to my temples.
Just before going into surgery. Still not listening to my gut instinct and asking questions regarding the derma roller. Dr Hassan replied to me saying that he was using 2.5mm derma roller, which I immediately felt very apprehensive as I only ever heard of people using that for extreme scars on your body and not on your face.. but went along with him as thought of the benefits for my skin.
I must stress that my skin is not sensitive in the slightest, if anything i'd say that my skin doesn't react to anything. The pictures are a timeline and don't really show how graphic in nature and the pain and suffering this has caused me, not to mention the embarrassment, especially with working in the beauty industry. I've had to take over 3 - 4 months off work (almost lost my job). Started taking anti-depressants, former shell of myself and consumed by my skin and highly unhappy with everything.
Not to mention before all of this I was initially just going to have a chemical peel, paid £1000 for this in advance and was going to have this after a month later from my Derma roller and fat grafting. I was told I had to pay in advance as I needed to use the products £400 to prep my skin for the chemical peel. So I wasted £400 of products to treat the Derma roller aftereffects (Advised by Dr Hassan) and to put off the Chemical peel..and as you can tell from the images it made no difference and it took so long for my skin to heal with no examples of derma roller ever taking this long to heal. So I asked for the £600 for the chemical peel to be returned as I was never going to do another surgery with him as my trust had gone or touch my skin for a long time. This seemed to take a lifetime with being told that i'd have to wait two weeks for their finance department.
5 months post opp my skin is 70% heeled, I'm left with a permanent scar on my face (near my right lip line - 2 deep marks). My skin is worst now then it's ever been, if anything i think I've been left with permanent skin damage. The fat grafting for what I wanted was the total opposite and a total waste of money, no fat was put under my eyes which was my major concern. I've been referred by my GP to see a dermatologist, my GP has also prescribed me anti-depressants. £4000 plus out of pocket and also to make matters worse i now suffer panic attacks after what happened to me.
I hope this helps someone not go through what I've suffered as I would not wish this on my worst enemy.

The pictures are very confusing. Were you having other procedures performed? It seems like one week your skin is almost healed, the next week it's freshly injured. This pattern repeats itself over and over. That seems very strange.

The pictures are chronological ordered and labelled as such. I admit it must be confusing however my skin would peel then scabs would grow and form, then fall off and then the same again. During this time I didn’t even leave the house or answer the door, minus seeing my GP with a snood to cover my face. Mr Hassan also Skyped me in November and witnessed the scabs on my face and was aware of my suffering. My skin has still not fully healed. I’m now left with permanent rosacea, hyper pigmentation and dermatitis.

Darker skin is prone to inflammatory pigmentation - However these pictures indicate severe skin trauma. His treatment was way too aggressive, which can cause (as evidenced by these photos) permanent scarring. Microneedling should be done in successions to allow the skin to heal and allow the collagen & fibroblasts to rebuild. Its unbelievable that a Medical Practitioner would not know this. Always do your research and trust your gut. Hope the healing continues for you!

Thank you for your support. My skin is still not normal and hope others don't make the same mistake. I'll never have derma roller again but if anyone's considering it ask for evidence and they should not go above the recommended ml for your face.
