Pitted Acne Scars On Cheeks

I first want to say, that I have performed this Dermapen treatment at home, so my results are not based on professional results. I had very intense acne scarring on my cheeks from years of cystic acne as a teenager. I unsuccessfully had 6 Pro-fractional laser treatments done and didn't want to spend a large amount of money on acne scarring treatments again, considering I had no improvement from Pro-fractional.

I went to a Med-Spa for a consultation, and informed them I wanted to steer clear of lasers so they suggested 6 treatments of the Dermapen instead. This still cost over $1,500, so I decided to see if I could find something comparable at home. I still have a long way to go, but I have definitely noticed differences in my skin using the combination of the Dermapen every 4 weeks, and following up with apple stem cell serum.

The downside, is I have done this procedure probably 12-14 times now, and I am still definitely not where I want to be. However, I am noticing slow improvements, and that is all that matters to me. If I would have had this done professionally, I think I would have been disappointed in the results, due to only 6 treatments being suggested. I usually do this procedure on a Friday night, and look slightly normal by Monday, but it typically is around Tuesday-Wednesday until all of the peeling has subsided entirely (it is a very bloody procedure, as I have the pen set to the highest setting of 2.5 mm).

Still a long way to go, but slow results are better than no results!
