This has been a long road and I must say I'm still undecided if I would do this all over again. Going to Hawaii and I tried on alot of my old bathing suits and was depressed that some of my bottoms are not covering :( - Everyone says my scar will fade with time but when I look at some of the ladies on here my scar is alot more prevalent at the same post op date. At my recent doc appt he said he can fix some of my wrinkling issues with a local so I probably will do this at my 9 month post op appt. Getting at bully button ring today so wish me luck ladies n I will post those pics soon.

Thank you for showing your scar with every update. Lots of people don't, and it is helpful to see how healing may look!

Definitely see a major improvement with your scar. I know it's a pain but it will fade more in time. Thanks

Very surprised you would doubt your decision given the fabulous difference from pre-op. Scar will fade, are you using mederma and/or silicone strips?

Also, keep it out of the sun!

Rub vitamin e oil on the incision it helps so much. It does fade but rakes a while and everyone heals differently. You do look great but its how you feel is what matters

You look wonderful! such amazing results! I think your BB looks so natural. What have you been using on your scar? I've been using Bio-Oil and have noticed a difference with that. The middle of my scar is darker then the sides, but I'm hoping with time it will fade. I know that's the last thing you want to hear...but we all heal at different rates, and just keep in mind the trauma you put your body through 6 months ago. I'm hoping for you that in the next 6 months the scar will be a faded memory. :) Happy Healing, you do look great!

Well it's time for new pics and a new update. Back to working out fully and still have numbness in some areas of my belly and still have pleating which I need to know from my realself family if anyone else does at this stage because it is definitely freaking me out. I have been massaging like crazy and use silicone gel and strips and bio oil. My scar still has some hard nodules also n I am trying to rub them out as well. So need some feedback on this for sure. My scar is really the only thing I go back and fourth with....some days I think it does not look that bad and it was all worth it and some days I feel like the bride of Frankenstein and think what the hell did I do! Thanks for listening my friends and I look forward to any comments/feedback. You will see in my pics the pleating on my left side mostly.

I feel the same at 10 months post. Its a love hate . I still swell after eating salty foods and working out. The numbness is also still there. I guess its part of the deal. I would totally do it again. I love the look and the confidence I have gained. I'm applying vit E to my incision again as I still had some dark areas. Wow what a difference in a week. Its like magic lol

Abdominoplasty is a major surgery, having had numerous surgeries as I stated earlier, I have concluded it takes up to two years to fully recover - you will feel well long before that but after two years, you may feel as if it never happened except you get to enjoy the results.

Your belly looks lovely! Ask your Dr. for some silicone strips, they fight keloid scars and aid healing. I have had my stomach opened up 6 times. I know, sounds insane, 3 C-sections, 1st abdominoplasty, 2nd to improve look, 3rd to replace screen in stomach which had folded also to flatten out pubis which was raised for some reason. The 3rd surgery was done by a female surgeon which I think made all the difference as she is the one who pointed out this oddity (which I was aware of and resigned to) and said she would fix (she did) plus she made my waist smaller and generally gave me back a female shape as opposed to a "better than I was" bride of Frankenstein result.. My scar is really faint.
