T Minus 30 days until my procedure!!
I'm beyond emotions, i feel everything. Excited, nervous, antsy, shocked. I think about this everyday!
I have been wanting augmentation since i can remember after developing. My breast literally came in saggy. I went from bee stings to potatoes overnight ????
After consulting with 3 doctors over the past 5 years. I decided on Dr. Squires. I pulled the trigger in March and have been "patiently" waiting for my surgery date of August 30th. I have not had a pre-op appointment but I don't have too many pressing concerns. I am really nervous about the healing process and my scars. I'm hoping they will do well with silicone strips and scar gels but i am African American and there are greater risks for keiloid scarring. Also, i'm a bit concerned about healing time after surgery, I know everyone is different but i'm hoping I wont be chair bound for more than 1 week, I don't like being helpless very long lol. My next appointment is August 23rd when i confirm how many cc's i want and make sure i'm informed for surgery day. I think I have everything ill need thus far, ice packs x20, comfy recliner, bigger t-shirts and tanks, everything except for my surgical garments. I've even created a separate savings account for the new bras ill need once i'm out of the garment!
I'm thrilled to have found real self and be able to track my journey, monitor my progress and share my story with others! Lets do this!!

Im so excited, most of my other emotions are others projections and concerns, although everyone is supportive! How are you feeling 3 weeks out? When did you go back to work and other "normal" activities? I'm 5ft3 about 140lbs

I'm going out and moving around but get tired quickly but I still can't do normal activities like I used to yet . I do not work and am still in Florida where I came to have the procedure so my mom can help me with the kids . Once I'm back home I'll be able to handle kids but not the cooking and food shopping just yet . I'm taking it day by day .

Thank you for the info. I'm hoping to be back to work 1 week post. I work sitting at desk though so I'm hoping that will not be too strenuous. Happy continued healing!

I went back to work 6 days after my surgery. I have a desk job so I could tell a the end of the day that I was sore from poor posture. I have been hunchbacked since my surgery (because of the lift I think) so I have to purposefully roll my shoulders back while at my desk. Good luck, I'm sure you'll do great!

Hi Hun!! Excited about your upcoming surgery. I have dark skin too. As long as you take care of your scars consistently, and are vigilant...you will be just fine. Im almost 7 months post op...and its been an incredible experience. Im 5'6" 125lbs with 520CC silicone. Make sure you are very, very sure about your size. "Boob Greed" is a real thing. Your before pictures look similar to mine. I think you will end up with some lovely cleavage after surgery!!! Looking forward to following you!! Take care!! :) If you have any questions for anybody on the site,,,feel free to ask!! :)
