My teeth were so bad and I had 13 down to the gums and remaining teeth were broken, cavities and just horrible. My mom and dad both had dentures @ 22/23 all 5 of us kids have bad teeth. Just the past 8 years all my crowns, fillings just gave out little by little and that's expected because they were worked on over 20 years ago but past 2 years the decay became so rapid and I knew I could no longer be healthy like that not to mention not smiling for so long..
Everyone is very nice and knowledgeable and they do not rush you at all.
I'm on day 4 and I'm still unable to eat as my pain is pretty bad, it's more like bad pressure.
I guess the pain will be around for a bit as mine has stayed the same and I'm more swollen today but I did have @ least 23 teeth pulled.
The ibuprofen helps so much, I'm out of it but I will call to see if I can get more..hopefully tonight i can sleep all night..
I really wish flossing instructions were sent home with me. I cant remember when I'm supposed to start flossing? I tried today but I have no opening to pull the floss through..
Have a good night.

I’m about 2 1/2 weeks out, and will just say, keep on the pain meds, they will help. Also, if you were given a steroid, that will help quite a bit with the swelling. Try to stay upright as much as possible. Also, I was told not to floss, but after about three weeks to a month to start using a WaterPik, because it will get out so much more than floss will, especially because the teeth are so close together, it’s almost impossible to get plus through them. Be careful with the cold and sweet things, like I can’t handle ice cream still.

One more thing, make sure that you have some kind of laxative, so you don’t get constipated. I was in such pain, and had drugs that cause constipation, that took me two weeks to have a bowel movement. Not good. Oh, and the first week is very important to eating. Protein drinks/shakes, soups, muffins, and smoothies.

Take care!

I just had mine done November 4th at the Virginia office. I am day 7 and the pain and pressure can be brutal at times if you don't keep up with the ibuprofen and Narco/Tylenol. If you run out...u can buy ibuprofen in store. Just take 4 of them to equal 800 mgs. That is what they told me to do. After you take ibuprofen...2 or 3 hours later take the Norco/tylenol. They can be taken together was my instruction. No flossing...u can brush your teeth with a soft brush and sensodyn toothpaste they give u. Also, rinse twice a day with the prescription rinse they prescribe for you.

The pain meds sound like what I need for arthritis. I had 5vimplants done about 10 years ago. None held. Dr. Jeffrey Brooks, Long Islan, NY. Wanted to start all over again-same fee!!
