A Terrible Experience
Well, I decided not for cost but for convenience I would try Smiles Direct Aligners - it was awful. The service didn't exist. The aligners after the first week didn't fit they ARE NOT invisible and it took a long process to replace AND THEY SENT ME THE WRONG ONES. Months went by to get a refund finally and while my treatment should be done - I haven't even started. I was referred to Dr Anne at Durham Dental from someone who had veneers done. I booked veneers and invisilign for my bottom teeth. She gave me dental bonding. I should have done more research. I hate my front teeth they look ridiculous and 3 months of going there I still am no closer to receiving my invisilign. Appointments were late - I was always put at end of day which was rushed, never got my time. My teeth are white, already stained in between them despite brushing multiple times a day. They chipped in less than a week. Too long but won't fix it - they don't care. They are extremely dull, rough. In addition the back and bottom of 2 sort of blobby. Honestly, I get more time and care from my nail lady. I just hate it. $300 a tooth is the charge. I've given up here after 3 months and the botched veneers and decided to go to a cosmetic dental surgeon to get the veneers I wanted and at this point my invisilign journey started in June and hasn't even progressed. I will probably do veneers there to now because I'm so frustrated (lower crowding). Cost per tooth is $1000. I'm embarrassed to talk, to smile and very self conscious. They never fixed the chip or the staining after a week, blobs or roughness- my reco is if the price seems good, don't do it. There's a reason for it. It's your teeth. I was too "nice" about the massive screw up but moving on.
