I'm so happy I had this done. My scar is basically invisible and healed perfectly as you can tell by the photos. I recently had 1ml of juviderm in my top lip 2 weeks ago so It's still a little tiny bit swollen here. I have nothing on the bottom lip. These pics were taken with no makeup on and no chapstick or anything on the lips.

Feeling amazing. No swelling or bruising!! My incision is almost invisible, I have no makeup on my scar in any of my photos, just a small amount of Vaseline. Im very pleased so far and I'm excited to see the final results once the "roll out" is more noticeable. In case anyone was wondering, Dr. Mascaro has a special technique he does that gives people like me (not a long philtrum to begin with), so once all healed, the lip roll rolls out more (bigger/fullness) after the internal stitches dissolve and the tightness subsides. Basically I got the biggest lift and roll out physically possible with my naturally short philtrum. I'm at between 8.5 and 9mm after my procedure.

Day 5, stitches out
Got my stitches out today!! Feels so much better. It feels tight but no pain at all. Dr. Mascaro said I was healing perfectly and my lup will fully "roll" within 3 months. So far I'm very happy. I put on red lipstick for the first time when I got home. I'll upload the pics.

unless you know FOR SURE that you scar easily, i wouldn’t worry about it. there’s always the risk that you will, but most scars i’ve seen are barely noticeable, and nothing anybody else would notice. also, scars flatten and most discoloration goes away after 3-6 months. i think you should really really consider going for it. :) just go to a very experienced surgeon with lots of pictures on here or on their website. you can also visit healthgrades.con to check out any formal complains.

Go to Mascaro and you won't even see the scar. Look at mine.. I'm not even wearing makeup on it and you can't see it!

Yes he does a special technique for maximum fullness by lifting the skin off the muscle some and does something special to the muscles. Ask him about it he can explain it best
