Day 9. Dr M you’re so wonderful. Thank you.

I'm not sure where to start so I'll do so with the end in mind. I've wanted my lips to look like this for 20 years. I've always had thin, undefined lips. Twenty years ago I saw an article in a magazine that chronicled the process of a woman's lip augmentation surgery and I thought to myself how much I would love to have that procedure. Her results were amazing. It was just her natural lip - lifted. At the time there weren't many plastic surgeons who specialized in lip augmentation (still aren't) and quite honestly I was afraid of scarring and had limited financial resources. After reading that article I never really heard about anyone else doing the procedure. Everything I saw and read was really about injections. So therefore, for years I tried injections with multiple providers with no success. My lips would plump up but not for long and they never really achieved the look I was attempting. Then one day I overheard someone talk about Dr. Mascaro and the magic he was working with lip lifts. Having gone to him before for laser to the temple and talking with him at length at an office function, I knew he was the absolute right person to do my lip lift. He's so bright, kind and innovative. He is truly committed to providing patients with subtle, natural results. And while most plastic surgeons say the same thing, and their intentions are pure, their techniques are, in many cases, traditional, therefore, providing standard results. He thinks about new techniques such as how he stitches to reduce or prevent scarring. He uses different techniques to reduce swelling. He just consistently thinks about how to perfect processes and the experience for the patient. My results are everything I hoped for and the recovery process and time is really not bad. There is no pain. It's all about proper care and keeping the incisions wet. Dr. Mascaro is beastie. :) Won't go to anyone else. (I'll attach a photo shortly)
