Couldn’t Be Happier with my Lip Lift Done by Miguel Mascaro

This is my first online review of any kind but dr.Mascaro did such an amazing job with my lip lift surgery that the least I can do is to write a short review from a super happy patient and also to help others who want to have this procedure done. I was always unhappy with my long upper lip and like many others thought that by plumping them with injections that would shorten the distance... it does not work & only makes the look even worse. When I found out about this surgery I was looking at the reviews on Realself for about a year before going forward as I was terrified of something going wrong. Finally when I decided to go forward I was between Dr Mascaro & Dr Ben Talei in Beverly Hills. Dr Mascaro patients had the best before & after photos but not as many reviews and experience as the other doctor. I decided to do consultations with both but after trying to contact Dr. Talei office several times by email and phone calls, I did not get any response & this kind of attitude was not working for me. So after meeting with dr Mascaro in the office for consultation I was confident that he is the doctor I want to do my lip lift. The fact that I live a short drive away from his office is a bonus but I did not choose him because of that, I would have travelled across the country to have him perform my procedure. Everyone in the surgery center is super kind & caring, from the ladies at the front desk to the nurses so you feel at ease and relaxed. Surgery was a breeze and I loved how dr. Mascaro was having a conversation with the nurse throughout the entire surgery explaining what he was doing so I was aware what was going on:) Right after the surgery I was swollen but I already loved the result as the long distance was gone! Did not take a single pain killer as I did not need it. I had a lot of swelling until the stitches came out, seems like as soon as the stitches were removed the swelling went down. A month later all the swelling was gone. I forgot to mention that my surgery was in March (2018) and it is June 9th(2018) now & I am 37 years old. I am still applying silicone scar cream nightly. Small red scar is still there but no one notices it and it does not bother me as the scar is a small price to pay for overall improvement. Distance between nose & lip was 19mm before and now is 14mm so 5mm was removed. I did not ask the doctor to remove certain amount but instead to take out as much as he thinks would give me best result. And he did exactly what I asked, I couldn’t be happier. Dr Macaro is not only such a talented surgeon but also caring about his patients. I have seen him several times in the office for a follow up to make sure everything is going right & I do appreciate that he is taking time to do that. I have no tension or any different feeling in the lips or nose. Also, no difference the way nose or nostrils look, (nostrils were lopsided already before the surgery as I have had rhinoplasty before). Lips look fuller, no more injections needed, such a fantastic side affect:) So thankful that I chose the right doctor who delivered perfect result! And I also want to thank the Realself for providing such a helpful platform & also all the people who take time to post honest reviews & help others!
