Surgery with a Side of Sightseeing

I had a deep plane facelift, endoscopic eyebrow lift, buccal fat removal and fat grafting on Nov 17, 2025, and I am so glad that I did!
I decided to treat myself for my 60th birthday and get all of the above plus a breast lift (!) for my 60 birthday. I had had previous facial procedures by a renowned doctor in NC, but found that his prices had skyrocketed to Kardashian levels, so searched for a doctor that I felt I could trust and whose work I admired. I looked all over the east coast using Real Self, Google and even Reddit for a year before I decided to schedule an in person consultation with Dr. Magge. His staff was very kind and welcoming via email and my husband and I drove to Maryland for the consult. While there, I realized I didn't want to wear an underwire bra for the rest of my life, and decided to also ask about a breast reduction.
The clinic is spotless, they have their own operating room and anesthesiologists, and Dr. Magge was delightful. We discussed upper bleph vs brow lift, breast lift versus reduction and he was very confident that I would do better with a brow lift and lift (I had a lot of skin from weight loss, and the lift would result in a reduction without removing breast tissue). I scheduled the surgery that day for the next month.
When time for surgery came, I had rented an Airbnb in Bethesda and my husband came with me to take care of me. The procedure itself was on a Monday and was over before I knew it. I had the expected swelling and bruising, but by Saturday my husband and I went to the Lincoln Memorial and on Sunday we toured the National Portrait Gallery. On Monday I had a recheck and staples removed from the brow lift. Everything looked good, and I was "released" to go home. I am continuing to heal in NC and even though I'm still a little swollen (expected), it is obvious to me my surgeries were a success. I would recommend Dr. Magge and his staff unreservedly - he has mad skills, is kind and funny and his staff is top notch.
