Research Paid off Great Consultant and Result

The following 3 pictures were taken just before my operation so the consultant could see were the fat needed to go. You got to agree a great result when you see these! The day before was a day full of hospital tests after agreeing what exactly I was going to have which was pretty much everything on the list! I thought I might as well and so glad I did. I'm so glad I did the dermabrasion of skin even though that does take a long time to heal .y skin is so much better now.

Very happy with result. To begin with you do look a bit odd not like yourself. My son said he couldn't see 'me'. Now everyone says I look great refreshed. I'm 68 now and having this done every day I wake up and think best thing I've every done. I originally only wanted a deep plane facelift but I thought go for it all which I did...this is my last one! I'm sure yours will go well. Make sure you have Netflix or something to watch as it's pretty boring staying in hotel a lot. Make sure you take a really good moisturiser with you too and sun protection as you need that when you go out.

I decided to look for a consultant outside the UK mainly because of the price but also because of who I could afford in the UK.  Decided that Istanbul was the best place and started to research consultants.  I looked on this site and found Dr.  Ozcan Cakmak was a specialist only in the face and had been practicing for over 25 years.  All his independent reviews were good so I arranged a call to discuss.  We had a zoom call in July 2023 and he went through everything he thought I could consider,  I had before this call sent him some face shots front and side and a short summary of my health.  He came across on the call as a professional surgeon who knew his job well.  I decided then to go for it and the only two dates he had available that year were 12th Oct and 5th Dec.  I decided on the December date.  His PA was fabulous and she quickly responded with all my questions.  Giving me hotel options as you pay for this separately.  I picked one which turned out to be great called the Antwell about a 15 min cab away.  Note in Turkey if it rains taxis take about 3 times the trip time so allow for this as in December it rained a lot. I had to spend the Monday going through intense tests and checks at the hospital I was going to have my operation in. At one point my heart graph showed something and it had to be checked out before they would sign me off to have the operation.  Luckily I was able to see a cardiologist with an hour who checked me over and explained that it was okay, it was age related and that I was fit to have the operation.    I had a consultation with him on the Monday before my operation on the Tuesday and we agreed on everything that I would have done.  I had a few issues paying him via my UK bank as my phone didn't allow UK calls or texts.  They were very understanding and I ended up sorting it out after I had the operation.  I had a few visits to the surgery after the operation for check ups and removal of stitches.  Only issue here was taxis kept taking me to somewhere else.  They were very good and ended up sending me taxis to ensure I got there safely.  After I got home I communicated with the consultant via whatsapp a few little things I wanted to check out with him.  He has been and still is available to chat to me anytime I have had a question.    The result of my operation has been a great success as it looks like I haven't had any work done but just look really refreshed.  I am 68 now (67 Dec last year) and I feel I look at least 10 years younger.   In the UK just the deep plane facelift was costing 33 to 35k.  I had a brow and temporal lift, lip lift, neck lift, deep plane face lift, lip filler and fat in parts of my face and finally dermabrasion.  To be honest it was 3 days of  uncomfort sleeping on your back and feeling a bit bruised and battered.  I got through that and by day 4 I could feel I was getting back to my old self although I did look more like a swollen version of myself!.  Beware when you go through passport control on both sides you cannot use your bio passport as you look nothing like when you left the UK!.  It's just over 2 months now and I am looking pretty good, I still have some numbness on my head but that will go in time.  I definitely would recommend Dr Ozcan.   Also to be aware not all the nurses speak english so if you want to do a bit of duolingo before you go to get some basics in the language it would be worth it.  I was so impressed with the hospital it had everything and the care was really good, the food also has won awards.  All in all I am so pleased I found Dr Ozcan.
