I traveled from the United States to Guadalajara to have a deep plane facelift and neck lift, open brow lift, upper and lower blepharoplasty, and CO? laser resurfacing with Dra. Maribel Belmontes.
The surgery itself was a breeze. Other than some pressure from the drains, I experienced very little discomfort, and that resolved once the drains were removed on day three. The hospital was top-notch, and every member of the staff I interacted with was professional and kind. I chose Innova Recovery for my post-operative care, and they were wonderful. If you don’t speak Spanish, Google Translate is very helpful.
Like many patients, the first few weeks after surgery were emotionally challenging. There is swelling, tightness, numbness, and a lot of healing that has to occur. The support of the Renewal with Dra. Maribel Belmontes Facebook group was invaluable because it reminded me that everything I was experiencing was a normal part of the healing process.
Three months have now passed, and my results continue to improve.
