Update
Eyes before (upper/lower bleph) and after (today 11/28). 16 weeks post surgery. No more sleepy eyes. I do still have some problems with getting water in my eyes in the shower, but getting better. Scars have almost undetectable, you would have to be looking for them to even find them.
4 Month Post
I had a follow up with Dr. J. 3 weeks ago that went well. Things still settling in. Brow scars near invisible, hair growing back in well. Scars behind ears about 85% gone, under chin and nose practically invisible. Still have numbness in jaw and upper neck, but decreasing and gaining a weird sensation of tightness in jawline. I'm having a little problem with excess tearing in my right eye, but doc says to give till 6 months ,as this often naturally resolves. If not, he will take care of it. Overall still very happy! No regrets whatsoever. I definitely don't look anywhere near 57 anymore and that's the point of it all. Personally, I think this is going to take a year to fully see and feel the end product. So far, my expectations have been exceeded, as I have papery Nordic skin that I have abused horribly over the years. I did not expect this little scarring, or this much improvement.
The Dr. Jacono Time Machine
I really don't know what else to call it.....I'm a 56 year old man and Dr. Jacono just took 10-15 years off my face. The best part is that it looks NATURAL! At 7 weeks post surgery, the swelling is nearly gone, the suture scars are vanishing and I don't feel despair when I look in the mirror anymore.
In July, my wife and I both had our faces restored by Dr.J., as our early retirement gift to each other. She is equally happy with the results. Both of our faces have gone back to the 1990's, without looking synthetic or tight.
As a man, I was particularly worried that a face lift by the wrong person would leave me with a feminized and artificial appearance. Unfortunately, there are few plastic surgeons who understand the marked differences between male and female facial structure and apply the same surgical technique to both. When I first started researching surgeons over a year ago, I was deeply impressed by the men's before/after photos on Dr. Jacono's website. I continued to shop around, but already kind of knew who I was going to ultimately trust with my face. He is a truly gifted surgeon with a powerful aesthetic sense. When you meet the doctor, you will quickly understand that he has passion for his craft, loves people and deeply cares about your results.
Our entire "time travel" experience with Dr.J has been great one. His support staff share the same pride and passion he has, and you will see it before, during and even weeks after your surgery. The post-operative care is quite noteworthy. You will be seen often, your progress closely observed and "tweaked" as necessary during the weeks of your recovery. This attention is a "value-added" feature that you don't often find in retail surgery. Dr. J. and the gang care about you just as much as when you started your journey.
