62 and getting a facelift

Okay, I’m not very photogenic to begin with, but here goes posting pictures 6 months post-op deep plane face lift, upper blepharoplasty, fat transfer, neck lift and CO2 laser. I also had a septoplasty and nose work. My face started out very saggy and wrinkled, especially around the jaw line and cheeks. I have awful sun damage and my skin is thick. Considering all this, I think the results so far are pretty good. Of course, I am my own worst critic. I still hope for more improvement as the healing continues. I almost have all sensation back in my face and neck, but I still have some numbness, lumpiness and discoloration in my skin. I saw Dr. Alemi today and brought up my concerns. He mentioned it could take 9 months for the skin to smooth out. Also, my body absorbed some of the fat transferred to the left side of my face and lips. Dr. Alemi said I can have a further fat transfer on the left side of my face if after the year is up, things didn’t even out. I loved the way my lips looked from the fat transfer right after surgery, but unfortunately my body absored that fat as well. I will continue to monitor and do what I can to improve the age spots on my face. I’m scheduled for another CO2 laser treatment in September, which will help with the deep wrinkles around my mouth and the thick skin on my nose. I’m sure Dr. Alemi will continue to do all he can to make sure I’m happy with my results, it’s just who he is. I will keep you all posted as my journey continues.

Okay, it's been five weeks, and three days since my multiple procedures all-in-one. I had a Facelift, Neck lift, Upper blepharoplasty, CO2 laser, Fat Grafting and Rhinoplasty. I looked like I was run over by a truck when I first got out of surgery, and it's been a really slow recovery for me, but starting to look almost recovered. I still have bruising, swelling, itching, bumps, lumps, numbness and tightness. I know that all sounds pretty bad, but from where I started out of surgery to what I look like today, is a big improvement. I must be honest, I am a little nervous that these lumps and bumps won't go away, but Dr. Alemi assured me that they would. He offered to give me cortisone shot to speed up the healing process, but I had so many steroid pills after surgery, I opted for healing naturally. Dr. Alemi and his surgical manager, Jaclyn, are always available when I have questions or concerns. Jaclyn gets back to you immediately. She bends over backwards to keep patients happy (I would say just me, but I heard how she spoke to other patients on the phone and in the office). I'm providing a photo of day 1 and again today. I will answer any questions sent to me.

Hi everyone. I know people who are following this want to know how everything went. I'm holding off typing my review until I heal a little bit better and off these meds. Also, I really can't see without my contacts and I can't wear my glasses because I have a cast on my nose. But just to stave off the curiosity, just let it be known that I love, love, love Dr. Alemi, and I am confident my results are fantastic! I was able to see improvement the day after surgery. Hang in there, my complete and unbiased review is coming. What I can tell you now is that if you have surgery scheduled with Dr. Alemi, don't worry at all, you are in good hands! I'll post photos too later on in the healing process and when I finish my review.
