Look No Further

If you are reading this review then you must at least be curious about cosmetic surgery or possibly Medical Tourism. That’s how I began….
After consulting Doctors in the United States, I realized that I needed to expand my search if I wanted to find a highly qualified surgeon with services that I could afford. I was totally unaware of medical tourism but began my research discovering that Turkey was one of the top countries identified. Next, I started making a list of all the doctors that I came across on Instagram and from google searches. I looked at reviews and biographies and made notes. I decided that having an excellent hospital was one of my top priorities in case of some unforeseen emergency. Next, I wanted my doctor to be highly trained and to speak English well. Dr. Varsak and Andula Medical Center (John’s Hopkins affiliate) rose to the top of my list.
After reading Dr. Varsak’s biography listing all of his training and accomplishments, I knew he was different from all of the other surgeons that I read about. I decided if I was going to have a deep plane facelift, necklift and my eyes done, who better to do it than a person who was a trained Otolaryngologist turned Plastic surgeon who only works on faces. Knowing the anatomy of the face and nerves so thoroughly gave me great comfort.
I asked for a consultation so I could assess the doctor and his office staff. They were quick to respond and the doctor answered all of my questions very patiently. I scheduled my surgery and anxiously awaited! The Patient coordinator, Anil, explain the process and schedule. He helped facilitate the whole thing from start to finish. The driver was at the airport and took me to the hotel on the medical campus. He was also there for my pre-op appointment for translation and the final consultation with Dr. Varsak. After the surgery, I stayed in the hospital for 2 nights with skilled care and then had multiple follow ups with the Doctor. In the United States it is typically an outpatient procedure. The extra care gave me great comfort because it isn’t possible to have all potential questions answered before hand. The process all went very smoothly but there is some discomfort but well managed.
For me, the healing process has been a little slower than I had hoped, but everyone heals differently. I think the expression “trust the process” is worth repeating. I look back at before pictures and I can’t believe the improvement. No more jowls, a nice contoured neck, and an added bonus of an upper lip. (Dr. Varsak suggested this and wow, I didn’t realize what a difference it would make. I am so glad that I put the work and research into finding the best surgeon and I am very grateful for Dr. Varsak and his staff. Look no further!
