WORTH IT$6,000

So after much research, I feel I found the right doctor. Lipo is booked for Oct 4th 2012. I am really nervous. I dont know if reading all these posts helps or works you up, but appreciate having somewhere to go. I have a few questions if anyone can help. I was told to buy the bodysuit garmet for after surgery. I am doing my upper and lower abs and flanks. What are some of the best out there. Also a lumbar pillow to keep my posture straight after surgery..any suggestions. I will post b4 pics shortly even thou its so embarassing...they assure me the results will be wonderful...I dont want any more MUFFIN TOP.

Welcome to the community:)

Say goodbye to that muffin top. We look forward to reading about your procedure and seeing the before and after pictures.  Don't be afraid to post the pictures; we have all been there and it's really ok.

I have attached a link to the Smart Lipo Q&A section which I think you will find very helpful.  Scroll through the questions and doctors answers and I know you will find some very helpful information.

I did the whole procedure and post op time with nothing during and only Motrin afterwards. Any pain I felt during the procedure was short lived and tolerable. The only thing I was not prepared for was that the soreness (feeling like I did a MAJOR ab workout) lasted all the way through about 5 weeks post. Also, the compression garment hurt where the zipper was. Whenever I would sit down, it bent into me. Once I was past my doctors timeline... I bought one with no zipper. It was way more comfortable. :) Excited for you!!!!

Hi Shiam...thank you so much for your input...it helps to hear from someone who has went thru it. On your compression garmet...was the zipper on the side?...Did the zipper leaves any compressions on your skin or just overall uncomfy? I am excited but nervous too...im gonna post pics later tonite...OMG...it grosses me out just looking at them...but they assured me a big bulk in front would come off...any other input you have is much appreciated....thanks :)

Just a lil more info on myself...I am a 46 yr old mom of 3 daughters. I had Gestantional diabetes but was not diagnosed until last two...I gained 50 plus pounds with my oldest...knowing about this with my last two I gained only 30 pds...I currently weigh 150 lbs and I am 5'4...all my fat is in one place only my mid section.

You will see such good results! I'm excited for you! My garment had a zipper up the front. It did not leave any permanent indentions, although I was worried. The first 4 weeks and even today at 8 weeks, I would have slight indents from the waistband of my pants during the day... But they go away.
Another strange thing for me was how my skin was almost separated from my abdomen for the first few weeks. As I healed, this all tightened up & continues to get better & better.
You and I are very similar in size. I also was 150lb and am the same height as you. Although I have only lost 7 lbs. since the procedure.... It's my shape change that makes me so happy!
Oct. will be here before you know it! Good luck!

Hey MuffinLess, I had Vaser Lipo done in South Africa on the 24th August. It will be 28 days this comming Friday. I must tell you, there is a lot of stiffness but surprisingly enough the pain is minimal. Get started on massaging the lipo areas as soon as possible as it really helps with the stiffness. I use Arnica oil.

I barely remember my proceedure. I had 2 valium and 2 tylenol with codine. I felt the pinches from the numbing solution but was so zonked out I didn't care. It was nothing to be nervous about at all, looking back. I don't remember my boyfriend driving me home. Although he says I was fully awake and talking. I fell asleep for 2 hours when I got home but then was wide awake and felt great. I was more 'stiff' than anything else. I didnt' take any codine during the day, just plain tylenol. I went back to work 2 days later and also needed to be alert for my kid- and drive.
