I'm 61, not obese, but have put on some abdominal fat in recent years. I had coolsculpting done on my gut area, on either side of and just below the belly button. It's been approximately a year (don't remember exact date) but I can't tell a thing and never could. In fact, when I went in for the "after" pics, the gal who performed the procedure managed to get the before and after pics turned around on her computer and was talking about how much more definition there was in the after, until I pointed out that they were reversed (I could tell by the shirt I was wearing!)

It aounds like it may not be worth the pain and suffering. I hv a low tolerance to pain. Also, a very active lifestyle in social life, outdoors and riding horses. If i had to be in as much pain as I have read about, and non-active, I would probably gain 5 pounds of fat and never see a difference as well. I was considering this procedure but think I will look at the Alternatives of diet and exercise. Thank you for your honesty.

Well, I didn't find the procedure particularly painful, but I guess I have a high tolerance. However, for $1500, I'd have liked to see SOME difference. The technician who performed it was nice and, as far as I know, did it correctly. It just plain didn't do a thing for me. Only thing I lost was the money!

Im older, post menopausal. Perhaps w lack of estrogen producing hormones, the success of treatment is not as consistent. Interesting.
