My bottom lip is still bit asymmetrical but with makeup it’s not terribly noticeable. Thrilled with the results of my eyes! So glad everyone shared their experiences so I was able to learn about tear trough implants! I worth it. No more juvederm every 7-8 months. Still have. Bit of swelling on side of my nose but not bad. It’s goin to be another to months before it’s totally gone.

How are your tear trough implants feeling/looking? Any updates on that front? TY!

Tear trough implants are amazing! I think it might be considered a lower eye lift but it lifts by filling in the hollow area instead of removing skin. I’d do that again in. Hot minute. I’ll probably need a touch of filler next to them but I’m very happy with the results o far. I’m 8 weeks yesterday. I made an appointment today to have another dr look at my lip implants however. Still not happy with he way they look. Not enough volume on top and. Bit asymmetrical on the bottom. I may need to go larger on top.

The dr I’m going to Hs really good lip results. I her he’s horrible with my other procedure but his lips are beautiful. I’m hoping it’s just the placement of the implants. I don’t go in until the 27th so I’ll let you know why he says. They just can’t be good at everything I guess!

I had my lower lids done by Dr. A in November.I'm still not sure if I'm completely satisfied as my face is still numb with limited movement. How long did it take for the nerves to be completely healed?
January 10, 2019
You have to give it about 6 months for swelling and nerves to really try to settle down. I’m 6 months out from my tear trough surgery and I’m just starting to get feeling back along my nose. One side is still a bit tingly when I ouch it. The other side feels normal. It’s a good yet based on previous surgeries before you’re really finished healing.

Touch it not ouch it.

I had the tear trough surgery with Dr. A in February. I am 3 weeks & 2 days post-op. The left side of my face appears normal. The right side is swollen & yellow. I also have numbness in the right side of my lip & beneath that eye; as well as my left nostril. I’m having a lot of nerve pain. I’ve been taking a lot of Advil & Tylenol with no relief. Any suggestions? Is this the same experience you had?

I had major swelling and bruising from the get go. I’m 9 months out and I still have a bit of tingling on one side hen I scratch my skin. Look at my earlier photos. From the other postings it sounds like you’re doing really well! Try frozen peas on your face as often as you can. I iced a lot. I used Anica gel or bruising. I think you’re doing better ha I was! He’s really good at taking calls and answering emails. I’m sure I was annoying but he Leary’s responded. Ice Oaks really helped with he pain. I also took excedrin migraine for pain.

Jewel....you look fabulous! I had tear trough implants with Dr A September of 2017, he used the largest implant available from the manufacturer. He said he wished they made larger ones. Cosmetically it was successful and I would do it again. However, I do have a significant amount of numbness and tingling from my troughs to my upper lip. I also have a tiny clear runny nose all the time. I don't think I will get more healing at this point.....I am just getting use to it.....grrr And yes, patience, patience, patience. If I had not read Real Self reviews before my surgery, I would have freaked out after surgery....I was extremely stolen and it really took months to recover....its not easy, but thanks to Real Self I knew to be patience and keep my cool. It does get better.

Ask him to prescribe gabapentin. He did that for me & it really helps with the numbness & nerve pain in my face. I was hoping it would go away but you’re 6 months post-op. That scares me; I don’t want to be numb forever!

Actually seeing light t end of he tunnel.

My lips are 4mm and I think I should have gone with 5mm on top. Little numb around my mouth still but no pain, bruisings gone and just a bit chapped. My tear trough implants are healing. Still swelling but it’s getting better. Bruising is almost gone. For some reason my right side I more tender and more swollen than my left side. My nose has been numb for weeks and I’ll starting to get feeling back now. Overall I’m happy with results. It will be interesting to see how I look with makeup as compared to fillers.

I think the tear trough implants look absolutely incredible. I didn’t know anything about them, but your results are outstanding and I’ll definiteky be looking into them!

I’m amazed at he results! The hollowness is gone and the results are better than juvederm. It was worth he trip. An LA doctor was $13,000 for just the implants. Thank you for the compliment! I’m a bit critical of myself so I’m not totally Hppy yet, but I think when the swelling goes away I will be. My lips are crisply starting to look better and a bit fuller on top. So maybe the 4mm will be ok.

Still swollen but it’s slowly going down. I think I may need to go and get a 5mm put in my upper lip. Volume is still very slight. Bruising is slowly going away. Healing is going well. So far no complications and happy with the results.

My right eye looks a bit wanky but I’m hoping it’s from the swelling.
July 23, 2018
Your tear trough area looks great - I'm curious to see how much of the fullness if from swelling. How is your recovery going now?
July 23, 2018
I’m going on 5 weeks this week and I still have significant swelling. It getting better but still looks like I’ve put a lot of weight on in my face. The buying is knot totally one except for one side. My nose and upper lip area is still a bit numb and sensitive. Th stitches on one side of my mouth didn’t dissolve so I had to take my own stitches out. My mouth actually feels great now and I had minimal swelling on my lips. Patience is not my strong suite and that’s my biggest hurdle right now! Thank for the kind words.

How are you doing i think everything is looking good eyes look good
July 23, 2018
Hello! You are looking great! I'm just wondering if you could post a new picture please? I'm wondering how everything looks with the swelling going down? Also, was the procedure down under local anesthesia or IV sedation? Thank you!
July 26, 2018
It was done with IV and I did get sick after surgery. One time and it was over. That’s par for me and sedation though. Swelling is still up and down and a bit of pain if I touch my right implant. Advil once. Day handles everything. I’m not even 5 weeks yet so I just need to be patient. If I slept elevated I’m sure it would help. I’m a Stomach sleeper so somehow I slide down at night.

Thank you so much!
