7 weeks PO

Late pic-Birthday Outfit

1 month PO

Last Monday (2/19) was my 2nd PO appointment with my PS. At the appointment he told me that he took off almost 600g from each breast which is roughly 1 lb each. He also gave me the okay to take the Steri-strips/surgical tape off!! I gotta say, I was so scared to take off the tape myself..I took from Monday night to Tuesday night to take off all the tape. Underneath was the easiest, they practically fell off but it was the nipples and vertical incisions that scared me (hurt a little). Anyways...as you can see from the pictures I was very upset after uncovering my second nipple to discover that they are completely too different sizes! My left nipple/areola is significantly smaller than the right. I know no one's breasts are exactly symmetrical but my nipples before the surgery weren't this asymmetrical. My fiance' calmed me down because I was highly pissed! The next time I see my PS is in 3 months (May/4 months PO) and before i bring it to his attention I want to see if it "corrects" itself or becomes less noticeable. I'm trying to stay positive, so on a positive note I love my scars: they look nice, clean and flat. I think they will heal nicely. I was terrified to uncover my left nipple due to the slight splitting I had at week 2. Ironically as you can see it's pretty much healed. The right breast still seems to be open just a bit (well it looks like it to me) and it started to bleed again Monday night right at the bottom of the nipple where it connects to the vertical incision. Before Monday I stopped wearing gauze/padding in my sports bra because I had stopped oozing/bleeding for like a week or so but after taking off the tape I felt "bare" and the little bit of bleeding from the right breast I lined both sides with padding again. All in all, I'm just trying to be excited about my new breasts. I just don't want to trade in one insecurity (big saggy boobs) for another one (asymmetrical nipples) after paying all this money.

Overall rating

I absolutely loved my experience with BPS. The staff, including Dr. Ronan and Dr. K (Kremer?), are amazing. They are super welcoming and down to earth. I never felt alone or lost during the process for my breast reduction and after a scary experience with another plastic surgeon, they made me feel completely safe with them. Day of my surgery it went by like a breeze, was in and out. They were very professional...and they kept checking if I was okay and told me not to hesitate to call them if i had any questions or concerns. I would definitely go back again if needed and would recommend them to anyone/everyone. So far I love my results.
