2 months post op....

Has been a while since I updated. I have not taken pics but in an effort to provide in site on what you potential Tummy Tuckers should expect, I am providing an update before I forget. :) I am 2 months post op and am 98% back to normal.
As far as Scar/Tape/Swelling/Garment goes, I still wear the Marena garment I came home in (ordered a smaller one) majority of the time. If I wear something it just doesn't work with, then I go without. (bathing suit, shorter dress, etc...) I have only gone an 8 hour span once or twice and am typically happy to step back into the garment to get the swelling down after that long without wearing it. Swelling is crazy sometimes...and sometimes just looks like a growth in the middle of my belly. Very strange!
Until last week (when our school let out) I was wearing the tape 24/7....lately I have been in and out of my swimsuit (taking kids to the pool) and didn't want to be ripping the tape off of my skin so frequently so I have gone without wearing it. Really, I haven't noticed a difference in my scar by not wearing the tape for last 5 days but I have sent a not to my PS just to confirm what I should be doing at this point. My scar is flat...mostly thin but is much darker at the moment. Looking forward to when that sucker lightens up!! I have been covering it with Dermablend (AWESOME STUFF!) concealer and spf 85 sunscreen when I am poolside, otherwise it is covered by clothes but is very noticeable (ESPECIALLY MY BB SCAR!!!) if it pokes out right now due to the darker pigment.
Soreness overall, is good. I feel weird tingles, tightness, tearing like sensations occasionally and some soreness when I stretch in the morning, but overall...I am back to normal activity. (Outside of ab workouts.) I am back to full workouts, running, weights, spin, etc... with very little issue!! When I run the lipo areas are still a bit sore and my belly gets super tight, but after a few minutes it gets better.(at least the lipo areas do) The numbness and tightness in my bell stays during most of my workouts, and is a little weird when doing certain exercises but not uncomfortable at all. I still have a lot of swelling (esp post work out) so I don't dare brave a workout without the garment!! haha Maybe next month.
Results - not a lot of change there. My belly is still flat and no more muffin top!!! As well, I notice the skin isn't soooo crazy tight! I had an extended TT so it went around my hips and there has been a little relaxing in that area as well but the cellulite still definitely looks better! Major plus!!!! Outside of that I'm just trying not to have regrets about having inexplicably lost my hips (and some booty!) Unfortunately, this sends me to tears more days than it should for $13k! Not too much a fan of my new curves... as A. I LIKED my curves before very well and B. it now looks like I have saddlebags. (which I previously paid to have removed)....surprise they're back by process of hip elimination! :( Anyhow, can't change it at this point so focusing on the positive...so on that note...my saddlebags are smooth on the outside and have less cellulite appearance than before. Which is great!!! The quality of work was FAR superior to the crappy laser lipo I'd had a few years ago. Which is also a plus!!! I would totally do an extended tummy tuck again...just with a LOT more clarity on the hip/booty area! (I would even still go with the same surgeon...I had ZERO complications and really the quality of his work is great!!)
I am looking forward to seeing my results without having the garment on all the time. That skews everything quite a bit for me so hopefully next month I can go garment free. :) Until then ladies...happy healing and happy planning!! I will post pics later today or tomorrow.

Whoops...front view...

Left this one off my earlier post

Positive Note...

This is a PreOp view of my right side and week 5 view. The pic doesn't seem to do it justice but the cellulite situation is much improved on my "side butt" and side part of my thighs. The saggy part and divot let by previous lipo is also certainly improved.
