I went to my pre op on Friday and we had to Proserpone my surgery day to September 5 ????, I just had gallbladder surgery ???? 2 weeks ago and dr suggest we give it a full 6 weeks . Well this gives me time to post before pics so I will be doing that in the next couple of days . I will continue reading other posts/ they help and inspire me a lot. Prayers for fast recovery to everyone .

Just from my experience the breast lift was well worth it and fairly insignificant compared to the TT!! Good luck.

I agree. BA was nothing- no pain at all. Just mild discomfort, some sloshing around. That's about it. I can move my arms, put bobby pins in my hair, etc. But the TT hurts like holy hell bcz you can't use your stomach muscles to get up, sit or lie down. And when ou do, its excrutiating. That may be bcz I have the onQ pain pump. Newer methods are to use the Exparel pain injections which seem to work way better, from what I've heard. If I knew the results, I would've requested it for sure! Good luck w your sx and we'll see you on the flat side... remember, pain is the price we pay for greatness! :D

Chiklet, my PS only offered the pain bulb but when I learned about the Exparel injection I requested. As long it was something offered at the hospital then he could use it. It was a lifesaver for me. I felt the soreness and tightness but no pain. Since it was a great success for me, he decided to offer the Exparel to all his TT patients as an option. It was very expensive for me costing $900, but I would pay double the price to be pain free.
Wish you continued success with your recovery.

I found a free app called Avairy, and you select edit, the stickers. Place the stickers on parts you want to hide. I'm sure any app with stickers will do the same thing. Go to my profile , I used some today.

Best wishes for an amazing outcome. You'll have that for sure! We're only 3 days apart in our arrival to the flat side - we've got this!! :)

Hi does anyone know about how soon after TT can some one return to work , I think I was told that it is normally 1 to 2 weeks?
August 11, 2014
Hi Isa2014, from what I've read it varies greatly with each patient. My TT is not until November but I have allowed 6 weeks off work for recovery. From what I have read on this site, I think 1 week is completely out of the question, 2 weeks if you are incredibly lucky, 3 or 4 weeks more like the average and longer is better if you can get it! Would other Tummy Tuckers like to add to this?

Thanks so much for your reply . I will defiantly keep that in mind. Time off from work is what worries me.

Hello! I took 2 weeks off but my PS said it depends on what type of job you do. I have more of an office job and he and his staff said I should be able to do that in 10 days.....hope so! I am going to try to go back in 10...... Just saw your comment on my post? I will be following your journey and wish you the best!:)

Isa, thanks for sharing your journey. Returning to work will greatly depend on the success of your recovery process. I use the word process because you will continue to heal over the next 6 months. Tomorrow makes my 2 week Post op date. I do not work, but if I had to return to a desk job I could do it. But, if I had to return to a retail position where I'm on my feet all day, no way possible.
Also, since you are in Dallas you are probably having a drainless procedure which really gives you more freedom. I still have my drains in, but hopefully they will come out tomorrow.
Also, the type of pain management you receive will make a huge difference. I had the Exparel injection it's the latest in pain management and I basically didn't have any pain and I have a very low tolerance for pain. I felt tightness and soreness but not pain. During the first week your back will be really sore from being hunched over, so I wouldn't consider trying to return to work before at least two weeks.
I hope this helps and feel free to ask me any questions that you think of. I've tried to document a detailed journey on my profile. I look forward to following your journey.

Stopping by your review as well. Your results are going to be amazing on your body frame. Sept 5th is right around the corner too. I think waiting the full 6 weeks is safe. I almost had to postpone because of a miscarriage that drug on for 2 months but I was able to move forward. But I can imagine how you feel having to wait longer. It was heartbreaking when the PS told me that. I didn't take no for an answer though and found a new PS LOL. But everything is going to be beautiful for you. Im going back to work in 9 days and I sit at a desk job on the computer as a planner. I have had energy for the past 4 days since I have been off the pain medication and to be honest I am kind of looking forward to going to work to get out of the house Im a buzy body girl go go go. but Ive been patient to let my body heal.. Eat a good clean diet, lots of juice and protein and you will bounce back :) wishing you all the best.. :) Oh an another good thing I have done is 2 weeks before the surgery I started taking vitamedica clinical support vitamin supplements for surgery pre and post. They are amazing and do not have K or E and are safe for the surgery. I found them the cheapest at dbreath.com $44 for both the morning and evening. And if you create an account and don't buy anything they will send you a coupon the next day for free shipping :) they were $20-25 cheaper than anywhere else :) Im here for you!
