As a nurse, I'd seen a lot of bad results from plastic surgery and even more "marshmallow faces" from too much filler, so I was hesitant to trust my "virgin skin" to just any 'Doc in the Box'. I started reading about Fillers on line and discovered a book written by Dr. Rod Rohrich about smart and safe plastic surgery options. The entire book is fascinating, but one particular chapter on "Knowing the Differences- Fillers, Botox, and Your Own Fat", convinced me that I should try a filler. The book gave me information on what each type of Filler did and how long they last, but I still didn't know what was right for me. That's where Dr. Rohrich came in. He explained all my options, took pictures of my face, examined by skin and made a plan.
I ended up having a combination of Fillers (Restylane / Juvederm) and Botox because each Filler is designed to help a different place on the face- cheeks, lips, under eyes and the naso-labial folds. Again, Dr. Rohrich knew what was best for my skin in each area of my face.
By the time I walked out of the office, I saw an immediate improvement in my appearance! I had minimal bruising and could go out for dinner that same evening.
Dr. Rohrich's office nurse, Debbie, gave me a post procedure information sheet that gave me instructions on applying ice and elevating my face on pillows when I slept. I followed all the instructions and the next morning I could go to work with just a little make up applied to a few small bruises.
I am so happy that I took the chance to have filler put into my face! I love the way I look and I feel more confident in my daily interactions with people. The procedure was expensive, but it was worth it because it's perfect!

Dr. Rohrich was very knowledgable about aging skin and enhancements outside the realm of surgery. He spent a great deal of time with me before the procedure, clarifying my expectations, examining my face and talking about different options available to me. He explained all the different Fillers available and how they work in tandem with Botox. He patiently answered all my questions. Dr. Rohrich is someone that you can trust. He cares as much about your skin as you do. When it was time for my procedure, my face was completely numbed with a cream. Dr. Rohrich worked quickly and expertly with a light touch- I could tell that he was very comfortable working with the skin. I thought it was going to be just a couple of injections, but he covered a lot of small areas that made a huge difference in the overall appearance of my face. He artfully injected the filler based upon the unique needs of my face- unlike some walk-in clinics, where each client is given the same amount of filler in the exact same spots. When the procedure was over, I could tell an immediate difference in the fullness and texture of my skin. Bruising was only minimal and the results are just beautiful! The professionalism of Dr. Rohrich and his staff are commendable. All the after care instructions were explained to me by the nurse, and I was given Dr. Rohrich's cell phone number to call for any concerns. Another great point about the aftercare is the follow up. Dr. Rohrich has you come back two weeks later for a follow up appointment to see if there are any areas that require a touch up. I am very pleased with my experience and will trust Dr. Rohrich to help me maintain my beautiful skin as I age.
