Photos were requested my site administrator. One is taken by me, 7 1/2 weeks post-surgery. The other shows my old nose and the way my nose should look after swelling subsides completely.

Thank you immensely for adding photos! I love the one with the shadow where you can see what your old nose was like. You look fabulous! So liberating.

Thank you! I will post more "after" photos when Dr. Cochran's office takes them.

Congratulations on your new nose! I am glad you did it. I also plan to have rhinoplasty in the fall. The last doctor I consulted commented why would I want my nose done at age 51! he said if I were 18, then he would understand why I wanted an improved nose. I have crossed his name from my list. I think you can have rhinoplasty even if you are 70 years old!

I agree! It is such a great feeling. One of Dr. Cochran's goals was to make my nose prettier without having a drastic change, i.e., people would not think I'd "had work done" -- rather that I just looked good -- did I change my hair? I'm amazed at how true that has been. Even my daughter, who, at 22 was very upset at the notion of this change, says she has completely forgotten that I had it done. I'm happy for you -- let me know how it all goes this fall. :-)

I had my primary when I was 38 but unfortunately I didn't like the results. Was hesitant to have another one and been thinking about it every time I look in the mirror. The hardest step is finding a surgeon that you really trust.

If you want to tell me where you're located, I will ask Dr. Cochran's office for a referral. Right before my procedure, he was a key speaker at a worldwide rhinoplasty conference. I am guessing he knows who is best. I have a good friend married to a plastic surgeon. He knows docs from all over the world.
You may send me a message privately if you prefer that to a public post.

Your nose look so natural. He did a great job! I wish I could consult Dr. Cochran on my revision rhinoplasty. I did my primary with a doc out of my state but it didn't turn out well at all. His name is Dr. Steven Denenberg. One of the docs I saw is not a nose specialist but he addressed all my concerns and explained to me what would he do to achieve my goals. I am planning on seeing him again to ask more questions and do computer imaging.

At age 57, I finally had the rhinoplasty I'd wanted for years. I am only seven weeks post-surgery, and I already love my new nose! The great news is that it gets better by the day.
Everything about my experience with Dr. Cochran/Gunter Center was first rate, from my internet consultation to my in-person consult, his staff and the surgical center where he performed the rhinoplasty. I traveled to Dallas from Austin because I was convinced he is the best -- so happy I did! My nose already looks like the one we "designed" together -- and he knew exactly what I wanted before I told him.
Without reservation, I recommend Dr. Cochran to anyone seeking rhinoplasty surgery. I don't believe you can find a better surgeon anywhere.

Hi msegbassett, congratulations on a successful rhinoplasty. Did you recover in a hotel room or did you do the drive back to Austin? Thanks for posting...if you're up to it, I'd love to see photos. Smiles....

Hi, Faith 2012! I spent one night (the day of surgery) in a hotel, and then back to Austin the following day. One week from my surgery, I flew back to Dallas to have the cast taken off. It was so easy! Best wishes to you :-)

Thanks for sharing on RealSelf! It's great to hear from folks in their fifties getting rhinoplasty. Your photos would be so helpful to the community. Would you consider posting a few?

I don't have any professional "after" pics, but will happily post what Dr. Cochran did pre-op. These pics show my actual nose and the nose I now have -- I'm already very close to the nose we "designed." I can also post a "selfie" taken yesterday.
