Dr. Cochran Changed my Life Forever - Dallas, TX

I was a competitive athlete, a gymnast. When I was 11 years old, I had an accident learning a new skill and ended up breaking my nose. I didn't go to the doctor that day because I was absolutely terrified that I would have needed surgery to correct my nose. I let my nose heal and the process wasn't pretty... I have a petite face so the most prominent feature of course was my nose. The scar tissue along with the deviation and crookedness made me stand out among my peers, granite I'm a triplet and going to public school made it difficult for me because I was pointed out and made fun of. As three years passed by, the scar tissue seemed to gradually worsen and my self esteem/ confidence was shot down extremely low. I no longer wanted to have my picture taken, I felt as if when I talked to other people, all they saw was my nose and not me. Those 4 years of teasing and jokes took its toll on me significantly and my breathing was altered due to the deviation of my septum along with scar tissue. My nose looked as if it was a "J" shape and when I smiled, the tip of my nose would touch my upper lip, which you can imagine didn't look all that nice. I then started to stay away from mirrors because when I looked into one, all I saw was my nose and it was upsetting because I didn't think I could do anything about it. My nose looked so bad that I assumed even with corrective surgery, there was no hope. I told my parents how I felt about the situation and of course, they knew I was unhappy with the way I looked after the injury took place. My nose just didn't heal quite right and It was time for my parents to start looking for Rhinoplasty surgeons. My parents told me that they had begun the search for the right doctor to fix my nose but immediately I said no because I was too frightened to have such a procedure. I met a few doctors (around 4) and we were still not satisfied. My parents made one more consultation with a doctor who's name I will remember forever, Doctor Spencer Cochran. That was the last doctor I visited because as soon as my family and I met him, we all new without words that he was going to do this procedure. He was patient and humble and genuinely cared about me and how I felt which is huge for me being so young at the time. Having a procure done to correct my nose at such a young age was risky because my facial bones were still growing so it was a risk to continue but I was comforted and confidant in Dr. Cochran's work. I knew he wouldn't operate if I wasn't ready, but he understood how I felt from a personal standpoint which was one of the reasons why I knew he was the right doctor for me. If you can try to picture a doctor who does strictly rhinoplasties vs. a doctor who does rhinoplasties along with other procedures, the one who focuses on only rhinoplasties would give a better result due to the fact that noses are his area of expertise and he has had more practice. Practice makes perfect and if you know anything about Rhinoplasties, you would be aware that the procedure is one of the hardest to master. Kind of like the saying "millimeters of perfection" which is true because when people look at you, your nose along with other parts of you face is whats most noticed. The procedure took place, and the results were remarkable. It was a complete transformation that changed my life forever and still brings tears to my eyes to this day. My nose is finally beautiful and my self confidence improved drastically... I love taking pictures and am complimented left and right. There truly isn't a doctor as awesome as Spencer Cochran and I say that from the bottom of my heart. I wouldn't recommend anyone else ever. Because of him, I am a happier and more confidant person and will forever be grateful for what he did for me. One of the best decisions I have ever made.
